I got lost in that place for like 2 fucking hours. The painted ceiling and the angled halls are disorienting af. There's several signs that say exit and then send you to a three way split with no sign to point you out. On the plus side, every time I've been in there they always have some cool art.

My wife and I stayed at the Venetian last time we went. It's a fun place and great for people watching.

Oh no doubt. I stick around because at my current rate of pay I'll have my house paid off in 3 years, 2 if I work a bunch of OT, and I'm skilled in enough jobs that they mostly leave me the fuck alone. Usually I end up filling in for whatever skilled spot someone called out of for the day. Plus at my 20 years I'll have 160 hours of vacation and 40 hours of sicktime a year. Ehich isn't much for a ton of people, but for the kind of work I do it's pretry good.

Once my house is paid off, I will be renegotiating the terms of my employment with either them or somone else.

My place has always had a exceptionally high turnover rate. We have about 30 production lines in 4 facilities in various parts of Missouri. The line I work on is notorious for it being a horrible line to work on. So those of us who were long timers (my 20 year anniversary at the company will be in june) started keeping track of the turnover.

In 2019 we had 35 people quit or get fired. 2020 had 23, and 2021 had 26. So far this year we have 3. This is part of a broader trend within the company. According to the training facilitators the turnover rate for factory personnel is about 45%.

Now this is of course unsustainably high, but what has to be remembered is that the great majority of those are people who get hired work there for six months or less and then say fuck it and quit. What's changed in the last 18 months though is that's not only newer employees quitting. It's people who have been there ten years plus, which is very rare because once you hit a certain number of years your benefits are hard to replicate at a new job.

The problem is that with the departure of these veteran employees the pool of people to train the new people on the jobs on the line gets smaller and smaller. So what happens is we get new people, train them for a day or so and then since we can't spare the person training them the new person gets left to do the work with barely any training. Then get harassed by management for shitty quaility or lack of speed of production, so they quit. It's created a spiral that should lead to an entertaining year for us.

Another thing i have noticed since the vaccinations have come along is, certain words are having their definitions changed lately, to suit this new worldly narrative. And one particular word that has is the word "coercion".

It is not coercion to tell people that if they do not choose to receive the covid vaccination, that they will be denied from flying, attending large public events (music gigs, sporting events), enter resturants or even keeping their job. Choices in life have consequences.

Whats really going on here is, is that stipulations are being put onto things, but they are being disguised as natural inherent consequences of a persons choice. Lets just for a second swim out of this muddied water and really analyze things (with this clever analogy).............

If i said to you "what jumper would you like to wear?, the red one or the blue one?" and you said "the blue one", but then i said to you "but if you dont choose the red one, you will be less warmer, as the red one is made of thicker material". That is an inherent consequence of your choice. But if however i said "if you dont choose the red one, i will punch you in the face 3 times", that is NOT an inherent consequence of your choice, that is just a stipulation i have put in place.

Saying to someone "if you do not choose to take the vaccination, you will be less protected from the virus", that is an inherent consequence of your choice. Saying "if you do not choose to take the vaccine, you cannot fly, you cannot attend large public events, you cannot apply for most jobs, you cannot visit any shops", that is a stipulation put in place and not an inherent consequence of your choice.

I'm going to take your post with the exact amount of seriousness it deserves. None. Shut the fuck up. By the end of this surge there will be 900,000 people dead. There is a price to participate in society and to receive the protections it provides. All of civilization has fucking stipulations and coercion. If you aren't willing to live up to your end of the societal contract, then said contract doesn't cover you. Get sick and die, you have that right. What you don't have is the right to be a plague bearer and spread that shit around or take up the resources that should to those willing to abide the societal contract.

In Michigan, the fake electors actually signed and filed their forged document claiming they were the electors. So now there is an effort to expand the investigation into this beyond the state because the same style of document might have been filed in other states. They sent the documents to the national archives as well as Mike Pence.

Don't bother with vegy. I tried to share some of my experiences in Saint Louis area manufacturing, dude didn't believe me. Blue collar workers, when not protected by a union, have the absolute worst shit done to them.

These people are very fucking stupid so this is not surprising.
