I'm for him being convicted, but I think a lot of people don't realize that these sorts of trials are actually harder for the prosecution to win than normal murder and homicide trials. Especially if the defendant is not a person of color.

Zimmerman is just one of many examples of people getting undue benefit of the doubt which likely would not have been afforded to an African-American. There needs to be some major systemic changes.

Being able to hide behind self defense shouldn't make it that easy to get off.

Fair point. It was stated that those terms, although I dont think thugs was on it, are permitted to describe them in the context of what was happening if they can demonstrate that they were rioting and committing arson. Which the defense did.

It was always a show trial. It never would have gone to trial at all if the state didnt think people would have rioted if they hadnt.

Theres a lot of criticism that can be leveled, but the not referring to them as victims has been explained over and over and anyone knowledgeable knows that is the appropriate thing to do.

I tried my damndest to put this together. I even forced myself through listening to about three quarters of that song. I didnt hear it. Is it a particular version of the song? In the original I dont think he even shuts up for more than three notes. Can anyone point me to the part of the song this was?

The best enjoyment I got out of it was seeing the first few episodes before my wife and selling it to her as a heartwarming meet-cute type of love story, and sticking to my story the whole time.

Same. I remember the show that got them fired. It was weird because nobody at the station was allowed to talk about it for months, so they just suddenly went poof.

Great radio show. I dipped in a couple times when they went to satellite, and I got the impression that it was better when they had to keep it semi-reasonable for actual radio. I guess I was right.

They kinda had to. As evidenced by even this topic, there is a portion of the population who think he is guilty no matter what, and any result of him being not guilty is him getting away with murder. If they didnt charge him the way they did last year, the riots would have been overwhelming. There will still be riots of course, but its a year later and they wont be as intense.

Definitely a very sloppy name for what it seems like it is supposed to do. I also want to point out that the contact email for that particular training changed since last night. It used to be the District Behavior Modification Technician, But now its Training and Quality Coordinator. Dont know if that has any relevance, though.

Thanks for following up on this. I was looking at the wrong Hawthorne academy. I started doubting my late night self this morning once I saw that the school in question has less than 300 students and is 80% female.

Its not hard if you know the name of the school. I also learned that theyre having pizza for lunch today.

As for sexual harassment is preventable , check out the link I provided above. It appears to be oriented toward individuals who commit sexual harassment and individuals who engage in inappropriate sexual activities at school. Im starting to think that the schools position is that it was consensual, and the cops took another view, but it would be hard to get any more info seeing as everybody is a minor.

ya, that was my problem too. I ended up downloading the client this morning cause I really wanted early access but I feel its gonna hurt the developers by not having it early access on steam too.

They almost certainly got a big lump of cash to make it exclusive.

I was early access on one, but I think Im going to wait for this one. I feel confident that there will be plenty of people to steer it in the right direction.
