Made it to act 3 of Inscryption, woooooow I have no idea where this is going.

Incidentally something entertaining happened in act 2. During the P03 fight he had some explode bots, I played the card that spawns them in empty spaces, one got attacked and the resulting explosions wiped out all eight cards on the board.

5.5/10. The emotional stuff does land though there is also a lot that does not work at all really.

It is definitely either the least or the most movie that a movie is capable of being.

It takes place at Christmas, Christmas drives the plot, and it has Christmassy themes kind of, but it does suffer from no real Christmas aesthetic.

The writing isnt bad though. It is actively mocking what it is often read as being. Its the Last Action Hero problem, people didnt realise it was a parody and thought it was a trashy action movie.

7.5/10. Its a parody. The whole thing is not supposed to be taken seriously. And frankly if you go into it as an extra-absurd send-up of overly dramatic action games it works.

Hawkeye finale was great, with one of the best post-credits scenes ever.

Id say that the only character in the poll that really shouldnt be there is Homer Simpson. The Simpsons was huge but not as much worldwide, and less so than it used to be. Dracula is borderline, it is hard to tell how well known he is, and the rest are fine. I would put James Bond over Sherlock Holmes also, Bond is arguably the biggest media franchise in all of Europe and is on a similar level in most of the world except for North America. I dont think Holmes is at the same level.

One that is missing that I would put above almost all of them is Pikachu. I would say with milennials and younger Pikachu is number one or two but is pulled down by the older generations somewhat.

On the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, the key issue with those films is the miscasting. EVERYBODYs miscast except for JK Simmons, Alfred Molina and Willem Dafoe and even he was kind of an odd choice that made it work. Tobey is just not great in that role and his slightly creepy energy is weird on Peter Parker. He was also too old. Francos far too wacky for Harry and again, too old. Dunst is a great actress but did not fit MJ at all (and the character is badly handled as mentioned above). Uncle Ben and Aunt May were about 20 years older than they should have been. And what is there to say about Topher Grace that hasnt been said already? These are all good actors but just did not fit the roles.

I just wish I could actually see No Way Home but Im self-isolating unfortunately. :/

I would say that while they are new adaptations they arent really meaningfully different.

Its bad, but its not that bad. There is some decent dialogue here and there and it was the first Tales game to use motion capture which made the cutscenes pretty effective.

Reign of Chaos: 6/10. Its alright with a great first half featuring Arthas that kind of falls apart in the second part a bit as Thralls story isnt as interesting as he is and the Night Elf storyline is messy overall.

The Frozen Throne: 7/10. The better of the two, the more vignette style allows the characters to have their own arcs in a concise and elegant way as opposed to the base game that drops characters partway through.

Overall: 6.5/10.
