Lost odyssey if not already mentioned. Still mad I never finished it..
It's got a unique gameplay element that ties into the story that some of the characters are immortal and thus in battle can't truly die. What happens if they get ko'd they auto revive in 3 turns. The thing is they only learn new abilities by being linked to a mortal and fighting with them in battle so you have incentive to use the mortals.

My favorite part was finding the main characters lost memories. Basically short stories but they where always tearjerkers

Also one of the few rpgs I've seen paint the main character as a unstoppable bad ass right from the start. Beginning of the game is him literally single handedly taking on hordes of enemy combatants in a war battle

Depends. If I'm gonna eat ass I better find her attractive. It's a weird thing for me. It's something I want to do but only if I find the woman attractive.

Kinda irks me cause anyone with half a brain doesn't go to a fast food joint with the expectation of healthy food. If we want no salt we can ask for it

The value of McDonald's to me is they are consistent. I've been to many and the quality is almost always the same. I prefer burger King if it's a good bk. But that's the problem I've been to several really bad ones.

This. It's the kind of thing that should be handled in house. In this example the site itself giving him the banhammer or whatever. In public I'm fine with establishments kicking people out over it. My grandma used to kick people out of the store for simply cussing.

I liked this game and I always wanted pirates but it's a bit too late. Doubt this will make me reinstall it

I remember having a job where the boss took advantage of the fact fast food workers typically don't know labor law. I'd just say that's against labor law and get my way when I was actually wrong about it lol. They didn't know labor law any better than I did

Because they fear for their jobs. Sure their are laws against retaliation but most people aren't perfect at their jobs. Boss wants to fire you they can find reasons. If they can't they can ensure your work life becomes hell until you quit voluntarily.

Funny thing is that in both games i normally dont even start tue main quests to avoid dragons/oblivion gates everywhere.

With all this in mind though Morrowind is the best and had superior lore, presentation, atmosphere, urgency etc

To be honest only thing I remember about morrowinds main story. Was blight you being the reincarnated messiah basically and Dagath ur trying to build a God. Oh and that the "gods" had killed your original incarnation

Just finished and Oblivion run of the main quest, mayes guild, thieves guild etc. Agree with you on most points but Oblivions main quest is actually really great story wise. Its the oblivion gates really hurts it, god they're awful.

The Grey Fox is the GOAT and Skyrims theives guild felt like a bunch of grimy, low moral skids

.I like oblivions story too but presentation matters and skyrims story edges out for me cause they where close enough but due to better tech skyrim was able to make it look better

John has a good reason for it though. He doesn't want to do a single damn thing in the game, but his wife and child are being held hostage, so he has to do it anyway.

I know but at times it seems like putting a gun to their head and saying you will help me or I will kill you is a less fucked up thing than what he ends up doing. I know I know that wouldn't make for a good game though.

The end of 2 and the final mission playing as John in 1 is the main reasons I do have some love for his character.

2 is the better game/story but 1 had a more tearjerking ending for me. I mean the end as in John's story. What happens after just is a feel good revenge

Hell, there's that one quest where a guy is trying to make an airplane and Marston agrees to help solely because he believes that the dude is just going to walk himself off a cliff.

He whines and complains a lot. That's probably it for me. I didnt like CJ in gta for similar reasons. Like he'll complain that what they are doing is fucked up but still let's himself get roped into it and complain the whole time.

It's been a long time but my more vivid memories of this is the missions with the snake oil salesman and the crazy grave robber

My bigger problem with RDR2 was how it yanks your dick about an honor system and then immediately gives you forced missions where for example you break out a fellow gang member and then literally massacre all the townsfolk of the town where the jail is and Arthur is just like "hmmm was this wrong"

Well the point of the story is his struggles with the morality of what he does vs his loyalness to what he considers his family since the gang raised him.

So I can see him doing things out of loyalty then in hindsight questioning it.

John Marston bugged me more with his dilemmas with what he was doing when helping side characters.

Edit. I would killed Micah though when you end up shooting up a tow.just to get his guns back

It gets better but still sucks for things like you can't run while in camp. You have to go out of your way to unlock fast travel and even then it's very limited. Iirc you can fast travel out of camp but not back to it.

But if you could just fast travel all willy nilly you'd miss a lot of entertaining random encounters.

Congrats. I wanna get to my high-school weight I just lack motivation. I'm not far off though. No clue what happened but I started dropping weight for no apparent reason and it tapered off around 10 lbs over what my goal is. 2 years ago I was 230 lbs now I'm like 180

I know I walk more at this job but I also eat a lot more now. Also the weight didn't really start dropping till like maybe 7 months ago

I feel it can be done right but often isn't. In red dead redemption 2 it felt immersive but it has hurt my desire to play it again.

Oblivion was better.

Story wise I feel skyrim had a better main quest line. Oblivion hands down on faction questlines though with fighters guild vs companions being the exception for me.

Theives guild in skyrim was a disappointment to me. I liked the characters and their lair a lot more but the questline itself didn't often make me feel like some master theif more a bandit with a preference for sneaking. Oblivion made me feel like a master theif

Dark brotherhood was great in both games but the final target and how it played out in skyrim hurt my opinion of it.

Gameplay wise I'll take skyrim though. Have some complaints but overall prefer it.

Incredible that after 10 years they haven't made a sequel. Though it's interesting to think about how a modern elder scrolls would be received nowadays. I'm sure it would be popular but it would need to be super impressive to have the same kind of impact and legacy as the earlier iterations.

They are gonna have to do something to match dragons imo. Sure they could get annoying (not cliffracer annoying though) but going forward I feel they'll need these epic level enemies.

Also alduin was the first final boss that felt like a boss to me. I barely even remember oblivions final boss.

Does anyone who works out actually have trouble planking for a full minute? Seems like a waste of time if you already have core exercises.

I don't work out and I'm sure I could do it. Had to be able to do 30 seconds for basic training. (Wed do it several times a day though) and being out of shape as I was before going I tested myself just to see if I could. I've noticed it's easier if you are on a mat or something soft like thicker carpet. When I first did it it was on hard floor and that sucked a little

Edit. I just did a minute. Definitely out of shape as it bugged me a little but I coulda gone longer. My lower back is what seemed to be struggling though. My abdominal area felt fine the whole time

There were quite a few hidden communities on gamefaqs, but they were all eaten by the archive monster before it was killed.

There are still an assload of independent boards out there, last I checked, still active on their servers but mostly abandoned by the users. Easy enough to find by looking up old school browser games like Urban Dead.

My step dad runs a forum similar to the boards here. Probably doesn't have as many members but it stays active. It's a message board for model cars which is his hobby. Basically a place for people to ask for help or show off what they've made

Never learned. On my own according at like 11 I tried teaching myself. Did a straight line well enough but never got confident turning.

I've been using this site since at least 98.

Didn't start using the boards till much later. First it was cheat codes back when intentionally made cheats where far more common. Then guides when I got into games that had lots of missables (rpgs and such) now it's just the boards

I inherited my truck but it's come in handy several times. To be honest though the bed mostly acts as a trashcan for me. I just recently swept out about 30 soda cans out of it so I could help move a dresser.

Gentlemen Jack is their high end, and it is pretty damn good. In line with some of the higher end George Dickel.

I've wanted to try gentleman jack but that price tag. I drank Evan Williams for a while cause I'm a cheap bitch but somebody told me the cheap shit is harder on your body so I switched to jack. Idk if true but it does go down easier.

Now beer. I was a Miller high life guy when I wanted taste but Busch otherwise cause as pointed out before I'm a cheap bitch. Never did quite like beer but it's what my friends drank and we'd split a case. But to TC the whole thing about beer being an acquired taste is true. Never met anyone who claimed to like it the first time. I never ended up liking it but it became a lot more tolerable. Only time it tasted good was a ice cold Miller after working 10 hours on a horse ranch

Streets of rage is still the best out of what I've played. Except the third one. The Japanese version is a bit better but still my least favorite entry.

I hope 4 being as good as it was there will be a fifth one. Hopefully with estell as part of the main roster

I'm still tore up I couldn't manage a tear over my last dog dying. And that shit had me sad as fuck cause her being put down was scheduled. So I spent a week counting down the days I had left with her. Even gave her the best meal she ever ate the day before. That shit killed me cause she seemed perfectly fine during that but I said fuck it and included chocolate in her final meal cause what harm would it do at that point.

Doom Eternal is not better than much of anything. It's pretty bad tbqh. Doom 2016 was better. Eternal was an absolute mess.

I felt the same way at first but once I adjusted to the changes made in gameplay style I'm enjoying it. Currently playing through it for the first time. Overall I find it harder but dealing with each demon on a individual level is easier when implementing weaknesses. So difficulty boils down to how quickly I can react to a demon that appears in my face suddenly.

Can't answer your doom 3 question. I still gotta beat 2. 1 is the only old-school one I've beat and that's nostalgia and maybe sibling rivalry cause I know my brother beat it when we where younger.

Same here. I'm guessing in comparison to my own so I guess I got an advantage. Mine has been anywhere from a little under 6 inches to 7 depending on just how hard I was.

Within the first year that I worked at Walmart, we had a new employee named Joey. Joey straight up told me that if he decided that he didn't want to do a job anymore, he just stopped going to it with no warning to anyone.

Sure enough, about a week later he wasn't around anymore.

Damn I may not always give 2 weeks but I do tell them. Worst I've done was I got a bogus write up (manager lied on me) and I came in and quit when I was supposed to report to work. That boiled down was I didn't decide to quit until the last minute though. I didn't wanna quit but right before going in I just couldn't set the anger about the situation aside.

Took the two together and when I woke up, I immediately understood why people become addicted to painkillers cause I couldn't feel a goddamned thing

I ate vicodin like candy in elementary school. I got a headache daily and they couldn't figure it out other than claiming I had hyper sensitivity to light and sound. I haven't had a non hangover related headache in decades but now I got a super tolerance to pain killers.

That's the problem. I can open up to my mom but it annoys her cause it's so engraved in me to keep it to myself now. Not fully her fault she just wanted me to be able to control my crying and nothing more but I went full on with it. Like I even have a hard time showing happiness. If I show emotion it's usually anger that's the one that finally comes to the surface and its cause I bottle it up.

It sucks cause I do feel all these emotions but I can't bring myself to share these emotions. So it feels like I'm doing everything completely alone.

Some of us can't help it. I was partially raised by my grandad. A boomer. And one that had a rough life at that. When I say rough I mean he volunteered for the military around Vietnam just to get away from his family.

It's weird for me though. Fiction can make me tear up quicker than real life. I've cried or teared up over many video games or movies but few things in real life even get a reaction out of me

I hate it. Cause I've discovered a good cry seems to relieve a lot of built up tension. Probably why I like fictional stories that can make me cry

I don't agree with it but it's how I am. I was a crybaby in elementary school and had it drilled into my head I had to quit or I'd be bullied. Got bullied in middle school anyways. It took joining the football team to make most my bullies quit (they also where on the team so I got to hit them in practice) then in high-school I started wearing a trench coat and that wiped away the rest
