I knew from several hot pan/screen accidents that burn pain calmed me down and an incident had just occurred that had me feeling like I was about to snap on my boss so I had to calm down because I may have done something to him that would have been problematic for me. The state of his apartment was mind boggling. His bathroom was inaccessible, there was a mountain of stuff covering half of his bed. He started eating leftover chicken wings that had been under a pile of clothes for who knows how long. The walkable space was the center of the hall leading in and then into a small canyon in the middle of mountains of stuff. We were drinking and the first glass he gave me to use had a spider living in it so he gave me another one. The craziest thing is that he acted like the whole situation was completely normal and commonplace. He half-ass apologized for the mess but only because he apparently just had a break in and they threw his stuff all over the place and dismantled his "booby traps" that he had set up. I don't know how he didn't get evicted on the spot when the management company came in after he reported the break in. I don't know what ever happened to that dude.
