When I think of original FFVII, and the writing and storytelling style it had, I can easily imagine Lance Bass's kind of voice for a somewhat vulnerable, troubled Sephiroth that stays up all night in the Shinra Mansion basement, reading about experiments and how he was one himself. A Sephiroth that still has some humanity and might laugh at Cloud/Zack's comments at Nibelheim. A Sephiroth that can actually show emotion. But apparently, Square-Enix of Japan preferred to have a Sephiroth that was flatly characterized, has no emotion, no charisma, and nothing interesting about them.

I wanna go back to the mid-2000s/early-2010s, where nobody gave a shit about awards shows especially those that popped up overnight made by half a dozen random people.

I know someone from PSO2 that became pretty much infatuated with me within 15 minutes of talking to me, wanting us to be sisters just because our characters were female and wanting our outfits to match, and having an almost incestuous vibe about the whole sister thing let alone being their "best friend".

I loved Luigi's Mansion, mostly because it felt like the closet to a sort of MGS, stealth multiplayer game we'll ever get.

It's a shame the Wii U didn't do that well, because Nintendo Land alone is worth it, provided you have multiple people. Preferably 5.

The artstyle's a lot more light-hearted, but I was kinda hoping for all the characters to be clowns with weapons like mallets, or shooting water out of a flower lapel, or features shooting someone with a regular gun and when they die, they explode into confetti, and all the sound effects are goofy clown sounds.

I think it's telling you to try and get Open to spread.

Late-90s/early-2000s for the most part. Mostly because everyone still acted like the other person was a human being, for the most part. And things hadn't gotten nearly as insane as they have now.

I always found it amusing that Garnet and Eiko's initial appearances sort of "subverted expectations". Garnet shows up wearing a white mage outfit, but she's the summoner of the party. Eiko has the traditional summoner horn, but she's the white mage of the party.

From what I heard, apparently Nomura wasn't the one behind the changes in FFVII Remake. It seems he actually wanted Remake to be more faithful to the original game.

I guess it's Kitase that wanted the time ghosts, and apparently wanted even more batshit insane things, but Nomura actually fought against that. But now Nomura's left the FFVII Remake project, so who knows how crazy it'll get now. It's strange that the guy behind all the insanity behind KH's convoluted plot was actually the one who fought against the changes in FFVII Remake.

You know how FFVII Remake changed the battle system from turn-based to action RPG, and ended up changing the story? If any game deserves that treatment in a remake it's Chrono Cross. Change the battle system entirely to give us back CT's battle system, and rework the story a little bit.

I didn't imply it wasn't. But at least their appearances were actually hard-coded differently between the two games as opposed to a flag.
