I remember that win well because David Justice was my favorite Brave growing up, and he hit a solo HR for the only run of the game in the clinching game to win 1-0. That title run also distinctly stands out to me because my parents got divorced at the beginning of that year. Some of my earliest memories are of watching the Braves with my dad, so that championship made a bad year a little better. It's also weird to think that I'm about to become a father myself as I've watched them win this one. Maybe the baby will be a good luck charm for all my teams if they're already winning titles while he/she is still in the womb...! --- |
