I said that framing life in terms of winning and losing had a detrimental impact on people.

Not saying it doesn't suck but seven isn't a ton, especially in a year. I've interviewed with dozens upon dozens of places and have only ever gotten three significant offers in my lifetime

this. i used to do 1 a month, so i did 12/year. took me until the 30th interview to get hired. even funnier, all 30 interviews were with the same agency

because that would be a huge waste of money, and i can cook better than the vast majority of places i'd be getting food from if i were to eat out. like tonight i made some Taco Bell style Mexican pizzas that were orders of magnitude better than the actual Taco Bell Mexican pizzas.

was your boss working when he was on dialysis? That would be pretty impressive, I tried the first couple of years but you get weaker the longer youre on it, Im going on my fifth year.

yeah he was working the whole time, idk how long he was on it but was on it the entire 2 years i knew him until 6 months ago when he finally got his kidney transplant

I'm not really consistent. I can go weeks/months without any alcohol and then pick up something I really like and be going through it.

That said, I've recently been to the liquor store so I've had 4 drinks last week and then 3 this week (so far). Probably end up having a few more this weekend.

im a dialysis patient and a lot of dialysis patients cant urinate, one of the purposes of dialysis to take out the excess fluid from the body since the patient retains anything they drink. Since I get dialyzed only 3 days a week, I have to limit my water intake pretty substantially or else the excess fluid makes it more difficult to breathe since it pressures the heart.

damn, didn't know that. my boss was a dialysis patient and said the worst part was the time it took, he p much couldn't do anything every fri night

In the pandemic it had increased to probably 10-15 drinks per week, but in the past four months Ive dropped it to like 3-4 per week and lost 15 pounds with no other lifestyle change

10-15 is when it starts to be a lot, that's about 2 per day. i think even 1 day is probably fine, especially if it's partially wine

Hehe, I have a big list of potential stories. 2ish years ago I was so bored at work as all they had me do was maintain this complex program but that was easy to dom
I would spend the days brainstorming and reading author bios.
Yet covid era sucked out my energy to this pursuit.
