Earlier in the MCU they were pulling from the Ultimate universe origins /depictions of characters pretty heavily. I think downplaying the magical aspect of Asgard was part of that.

now they seem more comfortable just going for the classic comic stuff

First thing that came to mind is Dead Island.

that game started out kind of cool, but (if Im remembering right) it got pretty shitty as you had to fight more live human enemies... but I think I saw it through to the end

also one of those Lego Marvel games... I was enjoying it up to a point, but by the time I finished it I became so burnt out on the gameplay that Ill never play another one of them

beat sticker star too, but that was at least... mediocre rather than outright a bad time. Outriders last year is a similar situation. A game I beat, and sort of liked, but wasnt really good enough for the time I put into it.

realistically its probably not true, but I want to believe the theory that the implementation of NFTs in Ghost Recon Whatever is so shitty because the actual developers are trying to sabotage the concept so the higher ups stop trying to do more NFTs

as of a couple weeks ago, they hadnt sold enough to even offset the cost to mint them on the blockchain or whatever

the pairing makes sense if you consider that Grimes probably isnt actually cool to hang out with, so they were mutually attracted to each other as two annoying weirdos

also i think Elon has gotten politically worse over the past few years, or hes been more open about how shitty he always was. When they got together he probably seemed more progressive than he does now.

of course the choice of Chad guy as the unvaccinated one compared to NPC guy does undercut the neutrality of it pretty badly

simple real world answer: the Netflix people and the Sony people were not collaborating to make that work

in universe answer: I think Peter was handling like... early evening muggings and other small, visible crime. Hes still a teenager who had to go to school in the morning, he wasnt out doing the sort of late night deep investigating that Matt would get up to.
Peters just webbing up robbers and not looking into it any further. You dont find Fisk unless youre looking for him.

TBH you could really just watch DD1, JJ1, and DD2 and those three season gives you the majority of the goodness of the Netflix series

gotta watch DD3 too. Thats prime Fisk stuff and probably better than season 2

That scene where he kill Jihl and reveals his true form plays out like its supposed to be some kind of twist, but the game doesnt spend any time pretending this dude is good. youre literally fighting the government from the very beginning of the game and Dysley just looks and sounds like a bad guy.
Its like (20 year old FFX spoilers) finding out the Yevon religion is corrupt, but without any of the time spent establishing the religion as a non nefarious entity

I loved VIIR

made it pretty deep into XV and may go back to finish it at some point. I dont remember much of the actual plot, but the bro roadtrip vibe is fun and the dudes are pretty alright.

hes a sorta stern looking dude with blue hair. You dont fight him directly, you fight a little mech airship thing he pilots.

they really blew it with all the antagonists. The only other recurring boss is Yaag Rosch who you fight a couple times and hes always a huge dick but for some reason everyones really sad for him after your last fight in a way that seemed totally unearned.

there should have been a bad guy lcie who got their own sick ass Eidolon like the party has. like a version of Leviathan that turns into a battleship or something.

Hes a guy who seems to be helping Snow and Fang, but then it turns out he was a lcie too and he gives some speech about destiny or whatever and turns into a monster to try to free the party from their fate by killing them and then somehow hes not actually dead and gets installed as a puppet leader for like one cutscene before getting killed by some other rando

anyway, I beat the game last night and I still like the game and its main cast, but it definitely didnt live up to my first impression in 2009 or whatever

also its fucked up how bad Sazhs stats are. hes obviously the best character in the game, but his numbers were so bad I couldnt use him in my party

so I played XIII at launch and loved it but didnt finish it at the time... got to chapter 11 I think and drifted away from it

like a week or two ago I finally decided to go back and start over and finish it for real and in replaying it realized that I had 100% forgotten everything about the bad guy other than a vague memory of his basic appearance

so now I wonder, like a dozen years after release... do you know his name(s)?

i think every 3D ff is available on Xbox in some form at this point

also I dont know how frequently you sip when you drink stuff, but Im basically constantly drinking in a restaurant setting, so pull down the mask, sip, put the mask back up would be a lot of extra hand to mask / face contact... which is something the cdc discourages.
theres not a clearly defined risk exchange rate between mask touching and time spent masked, so Im not even sure that the mask wearing would be a net positive for my danger level.

Kravens definitely the totally unused guy Id most like to see, but I think Id most like to see Spider-Man go against Kingpin at this point

Anyway, Hawkeye easily my favourite of the D+ series, just very fun throughout. Would be incredibly ballsy to kill off Kingpin now, so I can't image it being the case. Wonder if they'll address how he got so powerful or if this just a different Kingpin, just played by the same actor.

Bit of a shame that Agents of SHIELD is now officially decanonized though, but I guess it was to be expected.

Maybe during the Echo series or in a hypothetical Daredevil series theyll do one of those fun flashbacks to people getting dusted. My assumption is Matt Murdock got dusted, and Fisk was able to ascend in the five years.
Considering how directly his characterization and appearance (down to wearing black in the young Maya flashback) is taken from Daredevil, I think hes meant to be that version of him.

as for the Agents of Shield thing, I didnt watch the show so this is second-hand info, but Ive seen people say nothing here explicitly contradicts that show obvioisly theres this implication that Laura was Mockingbird because of stuff from the comics, but they never used the Agent 19 identifier for AoS Mockingbird, so they could just be two different people coexisting.

maybe Im not remembering right, but it feels like they made Kingpin even stronger here. He got hit by a fucking car and then kept fighting. It ruled.

now that its over, I think its safe to say Hawkeye was the most consistently good D+ series so far. Obviously Kate will be back in some capacity somewhere no matter what, but I really hope they just do another season of this.

new episode is up and I am immediately smiling so hard hes here and hes perfect. hes even slightly better than the Netflix look because hes got his cool ass cane.
