If the circle is a separate layer

1) select all the pixels in the circle layer (ctrl+click on the thumbnail of that layer in your layers panel, you should see your mouse cursor change when you hold control and hover over the thumb)

2) select the layer with the photo

3) click the Add Layer Mask button at the bottom of the layers panel (looks like a rectangle with a circle in it)

It's pretty easy to see. When you attack enemies they block 100% of the time in front. After 3 hits, they counter attack. It's a pattern that occurs and once you see it, it's easy to 100% beat every fight without any real issue. Attack 3 times, they attack back, you dodge behind them and destroy them. Once I saw this the game became much more manageable.

This was not my experience at all, which is why I wonder if I was just not playing the same as everyone else. I had zero problems with enemies blocking excessively and there was no pattern

I had teachers that said it in an educational setting, usually when reading a book, but only after giving lots of disclaimers ahead of time. Honestly I don't think it was all that necessary in that context either. Just because the book uses that language doesn't mean I need to hear the teacher say it.

I liked the different fighting styles in 4. Each character forced you to play a little differently

Also, I totally agree about the cabaret minigame in 3 and 4. It's terrible. Now the cabaret game in Kiwami 2 (and I think it's also in 0) is great
