As for the topic title, it's Federer. Djokovic's hard court titles are lopsided towards Australia. Fed's are more spread out.

This. The hype around 14 and that it can basically be a "single player RPG" entices me. I'm worried I'll get later in the game and that will be untrue though.

XI is a little too everquest-y looking. It scared me.

When people say you can treat it as a single player RPG they mean you have to skip all of the content in the game except for the story and also ignore the fact you have to queue into dungeons and boss fights to do with other people so you can advance the story.

In all seriousness I barely follow wrestling anymore. Is something going on with Triple H at the moment? It seems like all of the stuff he's been doing for the last decade is being torn down.

I have no idea if this is true but from my limited googling some of the old executives in WWE have been whispering negative things about HHH to Vince and of course he's listening. So now HHH and Steph getting control of WWE doesn't seem likely and everything HHH has done is being dismantled.

One of my biggest issues with comics as a whole, because they pull that shit all the time.

And with NWH done, that makes five characters hit with the "reset" stick since Endgame. And I don't like it.

Well, they did adapt one of the most hated Spider-Man stories. So yeah.

Also he legitimately beat Black Panther in a fairly leveled playfield.

I just rewatched the movie. T'Challa got the first knockdown and tried to get him to yield instead of trying to kill him. He had a few chances to kill him at the start but tried to get him to yield instead. Probably because they were cousins but the whole time (this also includes the final fight) T'Challa seemed hesitant to kill him.

Im constantly tempted to give FF14 another shot. Ive tried a few times but never made it past ~30 or so.

How hard would it be to pick up tanking as a first timer? Or is it recommended to go dps first?

I started playing a few months ago and I tank. It's not that hard, the game does a good job of easing you into getting the basics of stuff. Once you get to level 60 or so though you have a lot more skills so you need to start rotating through them effectively and you gotta learn how to tank properly to not die. The number 1 rule I've learned is if your healer is spending too much time healing you then you're not tanking properly. I just started Stormblood and I heard the difficulty in the game gets a big jump.

So is Chris Hemsworth done for good after this movie? Since they seem to be bringing in Lady Thor now.

The other issue with the MTA is they made so much money due to the sheer amount of people taking the subway every day before the pandemic but they kept increasing the fare and service has gotten worse than ever. I remember in the late 90s/early 00s when they started increasing the fare their excuse one year was their funding "mysteriously vanished."

That's EZPass for NY and the NE area but that's to pay tolls and bridges and you don't need to prepay EZPass. As long as you have it it costs you less, but the tolls in NYC are still stupid expensive.

What do you mean by prepay? A monthly Metrocard (Which has unlimited rides for 30 days but you can only use once every 10 minutes IIRC) costs $127. You have to use public transportation a lot to make that worth it.

Saying fans of the original game are old and outdated and should go play the original is basically telling them fuck you. Remember, Kitase thinks Tidus kicking a bomb, blowing his head off and then Yuna having sex with his dead body to bring him back is something people want to see in FFX-3. Dude likes being stupid and edgy and ruining things fans care about.

It's crappy translations which FF7 is full of. Her name was always intended to be Aerith but they translated it to Aeris. There's a strat in speedruns where you can skip the part where you recruit her and the game defaults her name to Aerith. It's just people holding on to incorrect translations.

IIRC, it was in the Ultimania translations where Nomura said he fought to make the game a 1:1 remake of the original with better graphics but Kitase wanted to drastically alter the story so he couldn't.

I've only played the demo for the remake. I'll admit, I was surprised by how much I didn't hate the voice acting and the writing for the characters. It was actually pretty fun the way they interacted with one another.
I'm usually not too big of a fan of anime and Japanese games and that tends to be a consistent reason why.
Not sure how well they keep it up for the rest of the game though.

The writing for Remake is pretty good up until the end because Yoshinori Kitase said they made Remake as a fuck you to fans of the original game to show them they're old and outdated.

Are you saying he's actually not like that? Because that's actually a pleasant surprise.

That really only applies to the Coils of Bahamut since they're not part of the roulette. Everything else is easy enough to get through as you progress through the game in real time.

Again though, you'd have to find a group to play with through the duty finder which goes against the whole treating it like a single player game thing. Some people just don't like playing with others, and you'd have to skip a ton of side content permanently if you only mean it for them to go through the MSQ.

Your second sentence contradicts your first one

When people say FF14 can be treated as a single player game they mean you have to play the main story up to the end of Shadowbringers so you can go back and solo all the content you have to skip because you have to play with other people or nobody does that content anymore since it's too old. You also have to play with other people to do the story dungeons and boss fights. You also can't solo everything because certain fights have mechanics that will kill you without another 2 or 3 people.

That said, I'm still enjoying the game a lot.

It was supposed to be erased completely by One More Day but for some reason the Marvel executives don't want it to be erased. The kids were also supposed to be Peter and Gwen's kids and Norman basically kidnaps them but the Marvel executives didn't like that idea either so they made Gwen bang Norman and have kids with him.
