I think he put his "mark on the role" in Civil War, but kinda took a step back in Black Panther to let some of the other characters shine, especially Killmonger.

It honestly shocked me what a large portion the black panther is absent from the movie in... the movie black panther. It felt like a good 30 minutes he was completely gone after the fakeout
