Dan is funny, I love NSP and Starbomb, I like how he ribs at Arin while Arin's playing, and their co-op series are some of my favorite series (Bunny Man and Heave Ho are amazing experiences). But I can't stand watching Dan ignore basic game design and have to completely relearn the controls every episode. I mean I watch it anyway, but I hate it.

I will criticise Dan for not knowing the YBXA layout of the SNES controller. He looks at the XBOX 360 controller hes using to see which button to press and is often confused as the buttons are in a different configuration. In battle, the command placement corresponds to the button placement of the controller.

It may not have always been but I feel there's a large portion of the fanbase that they pander to who specifically want to watch Arin rage like a lunatic

And Arin is fully self aware that fans love it when he goes on a rage.

I do think he tries to manipulate or set up situations which he knows would cause him to get angry. He chose to play the glitchy Switch version of Sonic Colors then was disappointed as they didn't experience any glitches.

The worse episode in many a year of Game Grumps is Tony Hawk which was a paid promotion. It was very heavily censored.

Dan's not great at games but he has some sense and can figure things out. Has a lot of fond memories of old school obscure games too, which is nice.

Arin doesn't read and can't connect two obvious dots together and then gets angry at how 'stupid' the game is, without realising he's the one being stupid. Even going as far as dismissing Dan's (actually correct) suggestions. Arin's the kinda guy to try the same thing 100 times rather than admit he's doing it wrong.

they can't swear in the first minute but then after that they can. when they do a "last time on game grumps" intro, the swearing is bleeped.

Maybe if you just listen to them and dont watch their literally horrible gameplay.

Just make a podcast and talk. They suck hard at games.

The games are the engine that generates conversation.

You want to see an actual dry humorless pair, watch James & Mike Mondays. I like James Rolfe but his lets play series was just so tediously dull.

Theyre just awful. I mean theyre kind of funny at times but im too distracted by just how bad they play games. Its not like new person playing a game more like someone who doesnt really want to play so they constantly fuck up and barely scrape by while never shutting up to understand anything.....

At least their videos arnt exactly 10 mins anymore.

Fans do not watch them for quality gameplay. They watch them for the banter, the conversation, the jokes and Arin getting angry.

Even if he wasn't the son of God nor was born in a stable to a virgin mother, or could perform miracles, and did not rise from the dead three days later. Just a regular man who either lied to everyone, or everyone lied about.

I wouldn't put much faith in the bible stories being accurate to events that actually happened word for word as they are told.
