| AsucaHayashi 08/27/21 10:28:58 PM #5 | ps5 version now to to stave off any worries about a potential bad port or performance issues because of lacking hardware.. ps5 > 1070ti but i doubt a jrpg of all things is gonna bring the 1070ti to its knees though ToA does look pretty. as for the long term the ps5 is gonna be obsolete some day and who knows if there will be a ps6 or if it will have ps5 BC so if you're gonna keep a game permanently, chances are the PC version is a safer bet. --- |

The gameplay is like that of an action game. Whereas the first game is a hybrid with elements of RPG gameplay and action gameplay. The second game plays like any other 3D action game. I am talking about the gameplay, as in how you play the game. It doesn't play like Final Fantasy or any kind of hybrid like the first game did with elements of the ATB system. PE2 plays more like Resident Evil (or if you need leveling, spells, MP, its cousin Onimusha). your wording was very confusing then. when you say gameplay you specifically meant the combat... as in you wanted the combat to have been in an arena, with a targeting dome and an atb counter. like just because you wanted the combat to be exactly like in the first game does not make what you said here: ssjevot posted... It's very much a hybrid of survival horror, 3D action, and an RPG. not true in any way for 2. the general gameplay in 2 can be categorized as survival horror, 3d action and an RPG exactly like 1, just with different "combat" elements. --- |

First one, which is the best one in my opinion, has a type of ATB in that you have a timer for choosing your abilities, but you are also moving around constantly in a 3D arena dodging enemy attacks, and you also have ammo to keep track of. It's very much a hybrid of survival horror, 3D action, and an RPG. The second game is just straight up a 3D action game. 2 does not have atb/arena/targeting "dome" but it does have abilities, dodging enemy attacks in an environment that "isn't purely" an arena, ammo to keep track of(one of the pics i linked to has an ammo counter) and RPG elements like mp/spells/equipment/exp/levels etc. maybe you didn't feel like you were playing the same game from 1 to 2 with survival horror+3d action+rpg but well, i did so --- |
