If you'd phrased it as
The spoiler you gave in Armageddon

...instead of

The spoiler you gave in Armageddon

then it would have been fine, but because you hid the name of the film you were spoiling in the spoiler tags then the necessary context that people need to decide whether to look at the spoilers or not is missing. The only other context you've given prior to posting the spoiler is that the spoilers relates to an "old ass movie" which not only is too vague to provide adequate cover anyway, is also pretty misleading because I don't think anyone would reasonably class a movie from 1998 as "old ass".

I wonder if part of it is that they would have to make a significant amount of brand new assets. RE2 and RE3 remakes were basically a two-for-one special and I know RE2 used at least a few things from RE7. Between the village, Castle Dimitrescu, and Heisenberg's Factory, they could probably just copy/paste 90% of RE8 into a RE4 remake. Rockfort Island and Antartica don't have much in common with any of those settings.

Also Alfred might just be a little...much for modern Capcom to want to try and deal with. Not to mention the weird pseudo-incest relationship he and Alexia had.

Fair points - I hadn't considered that.

Later is excellent, and Billy Summers has reviewed well so far.

I think that the title story from If It Bleeds was a bit of a chore, though (the other three stories in the collection were good): it felt overly long - to the point where it probably could have survived as a standalone release - considering it was just retreading a lot of stuff from The Outsider.

I know this isn't the popular opinion, but I actually liked SwSh.

It absolutely suffered from a lack of "dungeons" - IIRC there's only two or three (small) caves and two forests in the base game, and no special areas like the rocket bases, haunted towers etc., and the rest is just standard Routes [Would Area notwithstanding] - I'm guessing this was the payoff they needed to make for the Wild Area, and I don't think it was worth it, tbh.

But I really like the new Poks they added, especially the starters, and I feel like the plot felt tighter and more... urgent than it ever has in a mainline Pokmon game (with the possible exception of B/W), and when you add in the two DLCs it actually becomes a pretty substantial package, with loads to do.

There has been hints Hartnell wasnt the first since the 4th Doctor. @Tom_Clark

Yeah, I know that.

But the TARDIS wasn't stuck as a police box before An Unearthly Child. And it's been made clear that Hartnell was the one who chose to go by the name "The Doctor" - there was even a several season story arc about that.

So while there being more incarnations before Hartnell doesn't contradict anything (and actually makes some of Classic Who make more sense than it did previously - I'm absolutely all in favour of that), one of those incarnations going by the name The Doctor and travelling in a TARDIS that is stuck as a Police Box is definitely against everything we've seen so far.

But, like I said, the story isn't over yet. So I'll see where it goes before crying foul.

I didn't mind the Timeless Child thing, and I hope the plot isn't junked and retconned away. That, or I hope the specials do the plotline justice.

I don't mind the core concept of it at all - it ties in very well with a lot of Classic Who hints and continuity.

My big issue with it - which hopefully we'll get more information on in the remainder of Chibnall's era - is that Jo Martin's Doctor refers to herself as The Doctor and has her TARDIS in the classic Police Box shape, which - if she's pre-Hartnell as has been suggested so far - actually really is a big continuity impossibility. That said, even that could be handwaved with the Season 6b theory, and, y'know, the story isn't finished so there's plenty of time yet.

But the idea of the Timeless Child itself is actually one of Chibnall's better moments IMO.

To add, I have no problem with Jodie as an actress, she's actually been very good in everything else I've seen her in.

She was just horribly mismanaged in Who. The Doctor felt like just part of the ensemble in both her seasons so far rather than the main character (I'd say that Bradley Walsh felt like the lead in Jodie's first season, actually, and in the second - even though they weren't in it much - Sacha Dhawan and Jo Martin absolutely stole Jodie's thunder).

Weirdly, for me the time when she was at her Doctoriest, and the only time that she felt like the actual star of the franchise, was when she put on the coat and made a quick video from her bedroom cupboard to reassure all the kids at home who were scared when the pandemic started. She was actually brilliant there.

Like Trelve says, she got Colin'd. Here's hoping her Big Finish stuff ends up as good as his.

Jodie leaving has been an open secret for a long time.

Thank fuck Chibnall is going, too, though.

My only worry is that, with how hard it apparently was to find a replacement showrunner when Moffat left, they may struggle even more now given that the show's stock has definitely plummeted over recent years - especially since the new team's first job will likely be the 60th anniversary celebration, which would be a baptism of fire.

With falling ratings, far more negative fan reception and the sporadic scheduling keeping it from the public eye all meaning that the show isn't the cornerstone of BBC1 that it used to be, I'm a bit paranoid that they may use this as an excuse to quietly retire the series if a new production team proves too tricky to put together.

But that's probably (hopefully?) just the part of me that remembers the 89 cancellation talking.

In retrospect, one of my biggest nitpicks with the original was that Mr. Stay Puft wasn't adequately foreshadowed; the bag of marshmallows on Dana's counter doesn't cut it. Even something as simple as a five-to-ten-second commercial with a cartoon Stay Puft playing in Dana or Louis's would have sufficed. As a kid I had no problem accepting it - hell, I probably owned the Stay-Puft plushie before I'd ever watched the movie - but if I'd watched it first as an adult I probably would've been 'uh, where the hell did that thing come from?'

To be fair, he's painted on the wall outside the fire house too.
