Yeah there was a kickass anime about this

Yup... That kind of fueled my perspective nowadays. Besides unbearably hot weather, that is.

And to those who mention the protective aspect... No one would argue against that. It's merely that clothing is not really necessary in every single situation or environment.

Yeah, that's pretty serious.

I deal with a guy personally who lives on a huge remote lot with random appliances and stuff strewn everywhere. It's absolutely overwheming.

I'm not the neatest guy myself, but I'm often trying to manage what I need and don't need (like I got plenty of papers I could scan and then trash).

Huh. There was a comic were a storm gave people wonky powers, too. Was wondering if the two things were related but I guess now.

I haven't heard of it. What was the title?

But I thought it was almost like Mutant X (at least in that it was one of the few non-Marvel group of young people with powers thing), except it's British, and can be found on Hulu. I really haven't watched that much tbh, but it's different all right.

KodyKeir posted...

That's pretty much Doom Patrol, where everyone's power is a mix of Immortality experiments and severe PTSD from said experiments.

That's not a comic, is it? I can't tell if it rings a bell or not.

Heh, I wonder if it has anything in common with like Storage Wars or that one other show.

But man, living in pure squalor sucks (I imagine at least a few might be like that). But still having so much stuff and having to deal with it all, getting creative, and organising, eesh.

Not as many if you're gay. But even if you're not, we as sapient beings have come so far along now, it's so much more than reproduction, yet still valid. Nonetheless, it's fundamentally different, why bother comparing.

Mmm... I beat the RPG G.O.D. Heed The Call To Awaken last year. Was pretty interesting with plenty of options in combat, and funny that it was Demon Kogure who did the soundtrack.

Still trying to beat Idea No Hi, another RPG although untranslated, and I suppose it's fun enough. (These both take place on Earth, but like over half the world is missing in this one from the beginning... It's got a super dark beginning too where they kill your dog then you kill everyone else present in the facility.)

I really dunno any others, but I do suppose the BOFs are the most underrated RPGs that came here, and II's translation is legendary.

Why would they ever make anything less than >90%? The inferiority of 70% being the main product you see in stores is so annoying. If I wanted anything less than 90, I would just water it down myself! Why should I pay for anything less? How come I can barely find it half the time?

At least I've found it now. Seems like I waited forever.

Now that I think about it, there's definitely some lesser monsters and heroes from One-Punch Man. I can't really think of anyone but like Hedoro Jellyfish right now, who's basically powerless but can engulf objects IIRC. But King definitely has no power but probably luck and an abnormally powerful heart, and he's the "strongest man on Earth".

CyborgSage00x0 posted...

I mean, there's pretty much no such thing as a useless super power, since any "power" implies you now have something before that you didn't before. Hell, Doorman would be a really useful person to have for a bank robbery or something.

Now, fucking lame powers? Sure.

No, you really can have crippling powers, whether they harm you or another.

Another female example is Kagerou from Basilisk. She exudes poison like all the time, uncontrollably. What this means is she cannot get intimate with anyone without causing them to die. So she is tormented by this sad state of affairs.

Tenzen from that same series is able to come back from death, but it drives him a little more insane every time. It causes him that much pain

You would really go that far? Why should other get their pastimes but video games are just too much. I see nothing wrong with more options. That's all it is. At least it's some degree of activeness to it, where so many other media are passive and you can just turn your brain off. That's just too dull to me to do that much.

I couldn't care less about any stigma attached to it, it's just that widespread. Of course, why would I just announce it to the world, but why hide it.

Well, it's been some time, but in Misfits I think their powers were the result of an electrical storm or something. Only some of them were really beneficial. But anyway they were prisoners caught somewhere unfortunate during transport or whatever and I fricking forget the details.

Joseph was just kind of a shadow of his former self (he never even cared to use his powers to age gracefully like a regular hamon user), so they had to make him like that.

Also, the Bleach series, in the end, is very much like Star Wars in the regard of both sides being bastards.

The Shinigami eventually fight "literal" Nazis, but I mean holy shiii-it, the revelations to come, they may be the worse ones for what they do to their "lynchpin of existence", and their top dog is pretty fuckin' irredeemable. Plus it's stated that in war, both sides are clearly evil.

There's also the matter that there are only a handful of Sith at any given time, but no such limit for Jedi. So Jedi have greater opportunity to possibly commit an untoward act.

I only wish they were all as wise and virtuous as Yoda.

tony8669 posted...
The fact that people think Jedi are villains shows how far morality has decayed in America.

It's not surprising Nazis are trying to overthrow the US government and some people claim it's justified.

No it doesn't. Not in the least, you disingenuous bastard. It is simply a look at how they are not all they're cracked up to be. They judge everything according to their mercilessly exacting code. Is it any wonder how easy it is for a Jedi to turn to the Dark Side?

Think of that happening as what went wrong with Robot Santa on Futurama, when they lose all sight of their purpose.

I have a bunch of roadmaps from AAA in my car, though I honestly can't remember the last time I actually used one. They're free so every year or so I go to the AAA office and get new ones so they're all up to day. I used to use the Thomas Bros Guides a long time ago, but not for like 20 years.

Road atlases are great if you want to know locations of cities. They can be fun to study at times to get more familiar with an area.
