Anyway, jokes aside, the money that was raised for 'name changing funds' was donated to charity, so some good came out of it at least.

Growing up my parents had polished wood floors. If I was home alone, Id roll up the hall runner and run from the kitchen and then slide all the way down the hallway. That was a fairly regular occurrence until one day I clipped my pinky toe on the cast iron kitchen doorstop.

There was blood everywhere. My pinky toe nail has never been the same. Its this weird, thick, gnarled bit of nonsense.

I heard the Tom (from Jerry) scream in my head reading that.

Also thanks TC for the name! I've had a nameless pic of her for quite a while now and was always kinda curious for more.

Is getting a university degree essential to your goals?

I'm actually in a similar situation. 34 years old, got a not-so-versatile college degree in a branch with little job security, and I've been a security guard for 14 years now.

Like you, I am healthy, with the exception of having very shitty concentration, which hinders me greatly in making career progress or doing thing like getting a driver's license. I'm currently getting psychological help for that, though it takes a very long time to get results.

Your idea of getting more education sounds good. It might be for the best if you pick something you do something you find interesting that has a wide job market. Especially consider stuff that younger people straight out of college/vocational school aren't likely to do.

I recently started doing a course in legal skills. I don't see myself becoming a lawyer or anything like that, but I do like to do work that's associated with integrity.

Personally I'd prefer the House ending to be canon, as not only does society recover under his rule but even progresses in ways that were thought unimaginable in the post-apocalypse.

But it would probably end up being NCR, since that's the most down-to-Earth and most-like-the-US society we know, even though by the time of NV it's clear that NCR is gradually in decline and no longer the utopia it was in the time of Tandi.

There are many fantasy stories where a god-like being is killed, though it's a matter of perspective of what qualifies as a god. Usually it's just someone who is significantly more powerful, knowledgeable and/or influentual than any other being in that story, and because of that that someone is considered a god, but it doesn't mean they're unkillable.
