Or maybe electronica music just doesn't hold a candle to other genres if you're not gazzacked on drugs.

I've seen Ratatat (Metropolis), Animal Collective (Metropolis), and a shit ton of others at the floating floor stage at Osheaga and none of them compare.

Sidenote, but Metropolis is a damn cool venue. I saw Alice in Chains there in 2019 and it was awesome. My sister saw The Weekend there before he got huge and was only a mixtape guy.

Haven't seen Watchmen since the opening weekend. I remember liking it, but a lot of retrospective videos say that it misses the point of the book. Which would not surprise me because it's Zack Snyder we're talking about. I recently re-read it for the 3rd or 4th time and it was slower and more dense than I remembered. No doubt it would have been tougher to retain the full meaning of it in a movie form.

Iron Maiden "Somewhere Back In Time", June 11 2008, in Chicago IL.

Absolutely phenomenal performance. I still get chills thinking about it to this day. I went into the arena that day having heard of the band and maybe a few of their songs, but not being too familiar with them. I walked out a changed man and huge Maiden fan. Especially after seeing the song "Powerslave" that night.

To this day, 13 years later, I haven't come across another live band that tops that night.

Saw them like 10 days later in Montreal. It was world changing at that age. First concert I ever went to with friends.

Interesting show as the singer hangs back and really puts the other guys out in front. Made me appreciate Adam Jones and Danny Carey a lot more.

It's pretty simple. Hindsight is always better and gets more glorified. And second, you're not supposed to hang onto cartoons deep into adulthood. So in general, you'd be a big weirdo if you praised a current show versus something from your childhood.

Of course I'd make exceptions for stuff that is geared towards adults. F is For Family (aka the Bill Burr cartoon) is funny as f***. Dudes watching that pony cartoon are lol.

Goodfellas is amazing and legit also one of the funniest movies ever.
