The risk / reward in soccer is much higher. Also other sports like hockey have diving but they are far less tolerant to it. The players also police themselves to a large degree.

SS was a movie that got the hatchet job by the studio. BvS was a singular vision with a poor screenplay and dumb characters making dumb decisions. BoP is an alright movie and doesn't fail enough or achieve enough in either direction to be called great or awful.

Aquaman gets overrated by a lot of people. It's OK at best. Literally the Snyder Cut is probably the 3rd best movie in the whole franchise. Shazam and WW are the top ones.

Gina being an actor primarily has more industry merit than Bill's comedy profession. Stand up comedy is like the bottom rung of entertainment. He's big in his world but my parents wouldn't know him if I didn't point him out.

And his part in Mandalorian is 2 episodes. She has several more.

You need to be getting buckets of money to be cancellable. Burr is huge within comedy but doesn't cross over the same way that Kevin Hart or Jerry Seinfeld or Russell Peters or Dave Chappelle does. He strides the border between underground clout and mainstream clout.

Most regular people are comedy illiterate outside of a few big industry names. Bill is not on that list, even if he's a top 5 in the game.

You hear about the cancel culture stuff from lower level comedians. Some people are unfortunate victims here and there but then you get other people who I wish smartened up. A lot of times these Reddit fan communities go above and beyond what's happening on these podcasts or comedy shows, and then unfortunately the on-air talent gets dragged into it by proxy. You can't always control the borderline (or over the line) righties in your fanbase. And these edgy comedians court some of this lunacy.

Well the thing is, he's big in the sense that he has a dedicated fanbase but still rides under the radar in terms of Hollywood. Which is a fantastic place to be. The only thing that's 'cancellable' for him is The Mandalorian and small roles in movies. He plays theater shows and has done arenas just based on his stand up.

The damn thing is a hit machine. Which means hardcore metallers need to treat it like crap because it isn't a deep cut sub genre album. Nothing wrong with liking Mercyful Fate or Death or Candlemass alongside Def Leppard.
