So it's literally the same statement but you get to be an irritating pedant?

• Han Solo being frozen is one of the most brilliant contingencies for an actor possibly not returning. Had Harrison Ford said no to Revenge of the Jedi, Billy Dee Williams's Lando Calrissian would've undoubtedly taken his place.
• Luke matured a lot since the first film and it is a vast improvement.
• AT-AT attack is awesome.
• Go, Leia! Plant that kiss on your brother!
• It was a wise move to split Luke off from Han. Harrison Ford still steals the show, but he's only allowed to steal two scenes which feature Luke.
• In a less-wise decision, Luke only has three action sequences and two of them are in the first act. It's a bit odd that most of the action in the film follows Han since Harrison Ford's return was in jeopardy.
• Now I see why people think Jar Jar Binks turning evil would work. Yoda is super-annoying when he's pretending to be a beggar, yet a forceful (no pun intended) screen presence once he reveals his true nature.
• The duel at the end is the best in the series.

• The true star of A New Hope is the cinematographer. Nearly every shot is off-center and suggests a world that is both foreign and visually distinct. Before we're introduced to a single character, the tone is set by a title crawl and a camera view bridging two planets. The hopelessly outmatched freighter and pursuing Star Destroyer set the tone for the story that is about to unfold.
• Disney made a liar out of the title crawl. They said the Rebels had earned their first victory against the Empire by securing the plans to the Death Star. Actually, those rebels in that battle all DIED.
• Luke and his uncle Owen are at a slave auction? They even have mechanical bolts on the droids to track them in case of escape.
• Prequel apologists are right about the Skywalkers. Darth Vader behaves like a 16 year old who never grew up and Luke is whiny as all get out. "But I was going over to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters!"
• Luke seeing Leia for the first time: "She's beautiful... Like, I wanna do butt stuff with her. We're talking whips and chains, hardcore pornographic action. I wouldn't care if she was my distant cousin or anything." (Okay, he didn't go that far. But it's, uh, interesting seeing him blush over the woman who would later be retconned as his sister.)
• The world feels incredibly lived-in. They references places and characters we don't see and do so in such a manner that if feels authentic. Like, the sand people walking single file to hide their numbers or the abandoned rebel base. The dirty, worn out look of most of the ships really adds to this.
• Damn, that Death Star trench run was intense. I've seen actual war movies that didn't capture that sense of urgency.
• Luke loses his uncle and aunt who raised him. "I'm gonna sell my car and leave this town."
• Luke loses the old hermit he just met. "Uncle Be-e-en!"
• Lastly, I gotta mention shipping. Leia kisses Luke twice on the cheek, but most of her talking is done with Han. If you want the audience to ship the girl with your hero, try having them talk to one another. It's no wonder Leia/Han became the canon ship.

Watch in kids' movies to see how often a "princess" is the head of a nation/empire/realm, even without anyone above her. She'll almost only ever be a queen if she's evil or has a child (or both).
