| PiOverlord 04/21/21 3:30:16 PM #1 | This was for a creative writing class. We had to write a page a day, so it was like a 20 page story. It has been lost to time, but I still remember the details. The format of it was a man who would write in his journal periodically, while in prison. Brian Melerootsch is a prisoner, locked up for life after murdering his wife, Samantha. He caught her cheating on him one night, and in a blind rage, killed both her and her lover. In prison, he only has his journal to keep him company, and perhaps a few inmates that he calls "friend." Recently, a deadly virus has spread across the country, and as a last resort, the prison ward has decided to close off the prison from the rest of the world. Trapped with limited supplies, prison guards and prisoners hope to survive the plague that has brought hell to the world. Realizing, with no end in sight, that the entire prison cannot be supported, the prison ward makes a cold decision. The prison guards will now start systematically killing prisoners they deem as "unfit" or "without value." This means the older prisoners, with life sentences will be the first to go, and then even possibly the younger ones as well if needed. Brian realizes this would put him on the chopping block, if enough time passes. He starts to reflect on his youth. Throughout these days of remembering his past, he also starts to see the ghost of his dead wife repeatedly. In his youth, he lived a happy life, constantly inspired by his father. That was, until the tragic sudden passing of his dad in his teenage years. This would start him on the path of reckless behavior and misfortune until he met Samantha. A light in his life, she provided that inspiration to be a better person that his father once gave. Over the years, they fell in love, and eventually even got married. All was right until he loses his job, which causes him to become distant towards all that loved him. As time passes, he notices Samantha acting strange, leaving in the middle of the night constantly. He becomes more jealous, and they start to constantly bicker over tiny things. One night, he decides to follow her, out of a jealous curiosity with where she goes every night. He finds her going inside a motel room with a man. After waiting for a bit, he breaks into the room, catching her in the act. Full of anger, he snaps and murders both of them. Filled with regret, Brian realizes that he should have been a better husband, a better person. Perhaps he would still be living happily with his Samantha, and maybe even kids. He begs Samantha's ghost for forgiveness for his wrongdoings. Finally, she smiles at him, tells him that she does forgive him, and disappears. Brian can finally move on. Suddenly, the prison ward reports that the virus that has infected the world has finally been stopped. Unfortunately, the nation has been reduced in numbers significantly and needs as many people as it can to build itself back up. The ward announces that every prisoner whom wishes to be free will earn their second chance. Brian contemplates on this decision, but decides to shock the guards with a request: that they make him their last person they kill. He decides he wants to move on from this world, and that he does not deserve a second chance. The guards fulfill his wish, and he passes on seeing Samantha ready to greet him... THE NEXT DAY A guard writes in their journal about the experiences they had in the prison, and how they look to greet life with new energy. Reporting on the prisoner that was executed yesterday, the prison guard notes how they found their journal. When the guard read this journal, they were shocked about what they had read. For some reason, the prisoner wrote as if they were Brian Melerootsch, but this was not so. Brian Melerootsch was murdered years ago. The prisoner they executed yesterday was none other than his murderer and former wife, Samantha. There is a lot of expectations that in a few years, I believe 2024, coins will start going high big time, but that could always be wrong. I told him that the coin doesn't have infinite potential in terms of growth of price (or at least, it's highly unlikely due to the nature of the coin), and that everyone has it in their head that $1 is the moon, so if it starts getting closer to $1, I expect that's when the bubble pops as everyone abandons dogecoin. They do not have the domination they once had, but in the time since then, they have solidified many of their IP's in a realm above many others. Also, I find it funny seeing how Nintendo had this approach to non-gaming aspects of software at that time, but as of now, have kinda retracted to focus heavily on their gaming segment (I mean compared to Sony and XBox which have a multi-media approach). Lastly, obviously, Miyamoto does well nowadays for himself, but it was strange to see where he was at that point. I also feel like T99 and SMB 35 had some real strat behind this, whereas this just feels like a game of not getting screwed by red pac-man placement and your inputs being perfect so you make it to the power pellets. Also, the pac-man that slow you down just make the game meh where it feels like there are times where you can't really counter it too well.
