He has two webcams setup, one to show his battle mat and minis, and the other focused on him. For D&D, he's got access to D&D beyond which tracks all the character sheet stuff and can do die rolls. for other games, die rolling is typically done by just rolling and telling him the results. His most recent game, he literally just posted a topic on the subreddit looking for group (lfg), and found one within a few hours. Attendance has been a bit spotty, but we haven't lost anyone yet and they're a pretty fun group. You can use basically any service like that though, discord, skype, google meet, facebook's whatever. There's also roll20.net which has an in-built die roller and map. I've used that in the past. You can sign up for free.
