Im not a fan of the type of vocalists he uses for his songs, its just not my thing at all. The stereotypical sad emotional male country vocalists, that is.

I mean, they HAVE to code that at some point right? Code that his attacks being able to be parried, so it has to be intentional somehow. Unless it was glitched, which I highly doubt it was, since his grab specifically isnt able to be parried which makes sense animation/physics wise.

I will play it and I will have fun, but I am mourning the old LEGO Star Wars games a bit. They're gonna be in the same position as Demon's Souls. We have the new, shiny "better" version that is in competition with the old one, so I doubt we'll ever see a port of the original.

I much preferred back when the LEGO games did mimicry of known franchises rather than just used voice acting to repeat them.

The old games were so much more creative in their storytelling without the voice acting. Its an absolute travesty that they went all in on the voice acting route.

What they shouldve done is kept the adaptations with the mimicry/charades style, and have their original story games (LEGO Batman/Marvel/City etc) with voice acting.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that this new Star Wars one is gonna have the option to switch between voice acting or no voice acting, but I highly doubt they made an entire other version of the game where they act out the story in mimicry/charades. What a shame.

It's forced in the movies because the movies don't do the setup work that the books do. If you pay attention in the books, it's easy to see how Ginny is attracted to Harry and succeeds in winning him by becoming someone who can challenge him.

I'm gonna have to completely disagree, I re-read them recently and I do pay attention. It still seems like it comes out of nowhere, it sounds like you're reaching pretty hard there with that explanation.

I'm a few hours into Dark Souls Remastered.
The bosses are a lot easier than I remembered.

Also, this game has significantly better level design than Dark Souls 2 Sotfs.

I agree, but Dark Souls 2 has a much better fluidity and overall motion to it. Dark Souls 1 feels a lot more janky than 2, and I really like the style of animation/smoothness in DkS 2.

That being said, I still think DkS 1 is both the best and my personal favorite of the whole franchise, and easily in my top 5 games of all time.

Buy a Sundara and get Schiit or Atom stack, all audio problems solved forever

Well, guess it all really just comes down to personal preference and taste in the end. I greatly prefer the story, characters, action sequences, world building, dialogue etc. of both BB and GoT over Avatar, and the time just flies by when binge watching episodes of shows I really love. The bigger length of a single episode really doesn't matter to me, goes the same way with Avatar really because when I rewatched Avatar I would binge through loads of episodes at a time. So the length doesn't really matter here to me at all, I just vastly prefer the content both BB and GoT have to offer over Avatar.

how is that any different than rewatching two episodes of Avatar? Adds up to the same length... if you only like "rewatching" in chunks of half an hour then pause the episode half way or whatever

My speeds are fine. Copying is the weird bullshit. Uninstalling a game and downloading it actually lets you skip Copying, which can easily take 10 times longer than the download itself. I feel like upgrading to big boy speeds made this more noticeable to me.

Wait really? I've never tried this but I'll start doing it if it actually helps, since copying does usually take more time than an entire game download/install from scratch. I always figured that if you uninstall a game and then download it again, you still have to download the updates separately for the game afterward, thus still having to deal with the whole copying bullshit again. If you uninstall/redownload, does it just come with the latest updates baked in already?

It's a phenomenal show but it doesn't come close to the level of both quality and re-watchableness of both Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. Have rewatched all 3 shows multiple times myself, 3-4 times for both Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones but only twice for Avatar. BB and GoT are on just an entire other level than Avatar (except for the last two seasons of GoT, I'll admit).

This reminds me, RZA and the Wu-tang Clan are absolute fucking clowns for releasing Once Upon a Time in Shaolin the way they did.

Im gonna have to skip reading out on a majority of these last ten unfortunately. I never got around to finishing Dark Souls 3, its not that I didnt like it, just other stuff came up around the time it came out so I never finished it. I think I got all the way up to Dancer of the Boreal Valley, and maybe slightly after that. I remember traversing a poison swamp kind of area.

Hoping to start a replay of the series this year (for the tenth anniversary of DaS 1 for sure), and Ill get around to finishing it then. I might copy your write ups in a google doc or something so I can look back at the ones I missed, since I really enjoyed reading the rest.

What a horrible take. Wow I sure do love how every other mission in Sunshine is a stupid gimmick mission. Best game by far /s/. I wouldnt take such offense but to say specifically that its the best game all the way through when its notorious for being half finished and chalk full of filler really gets to me. You mustve really enjoyed the full tedium of the Yoshi boat ride. Collecting the blue coins mustve been a pleasure for you instead of an infuriating random grab-bag.

Mario Sunshine is a game I grew up with and thought fondly of as a kid but I still have to contemporarily view it as a complete failure as a follow up to 64 or as an attempt to move the 3D platform genre forward.

Its funny you say that, I actually did enjoy the blue coin collecting. Weird I know. And yeah I agree, Yoshis Boat Ride is frustrating, but I did mention that there are some frustrating points in my original post.

But I still stand by my statement of it being fun all the way through. That was only one of like, 2-3 small parts of the game that were really frustrating/tedious. Overall the game as a whole was my favorite experience of the entire collection, the frustrating parts didnt hurt my score of it overall.

I've also seen a large variety of live shows, but never did I say in my post that electronic music is superior to everything else or some other gate keeping judgmental kind of shit like what you said. Just making an observation here, it would be nice to discuss the awesome live electronic shows others have seen but it just doesn't seem like others do that here.

I don't really see how my post can be interpreted as "having an attitude about it", that wasn't my intention. Notice how I'm not criticizing other music genres (as I love them just as much as electronic, I like to listen to everything too), so I don't think I'm trying to be a music elitist here like @Eat_More_Beef was in his other post. I love music discussion of all kinds too, I can relate to what you mean by artists blowing up and getting more discussion out of it, that's awesome when that happens. Just stating an observation of CE's music taste and some slight disappointment that I'm not able to connect with others here about their experiences with electronic music, but it's not a huge deal.
