No they still have servers at those restaurants.

For now

I'm talking about at like Chilis or Applebees or whatever the fuck. They have table tablets you can order things on (not entrees tho), play games on, and eventually pay your tab on.

Yes, I've ordered at a restaurant in the past 3 years. Thanks >_<

Smashingpmkns posted...
Their only purpose is upselling but when I worked at a restaurant no one used them. Older people absolutely hated them and people with kids already have tablets to distract their kids with. Restaurants are straight up getting scammed by these services lol

But yeah, I do get your point. Since they do have people to bring your food still, there isn't any point for those devices.

Most automated customer service/retail shit is terrible.

Even those tablets at shitty restaurants that let you order appetizers or drinks. There's absolutely no point for those lol

Sure there is - They don't want to hire people to take your order, so the company can make more money.

Lmao it is hilarious that people are buying tons of items and have to use the self check out. It is going to be counterproductive because people will get so fed up with the way the store handles business that they will go somewhere else instead. Self checkout only at grocery stores is seriously stupid. Those who buy tons of groceries at once are going to be so upset.

Are there places like that? A lot of stores have at least 1 or 2 actual lanes open for people.

Could be an over qualification thing, too. An age thing as well.

If theyre speeding its still labeled an accident, right? I disagree. If youre speeding, thats not a mistake.

Its the same to me here - A crosswalk should be a place that every driver should know to slow down for.

This was also said before I saw the picture of said crosswalk, which gives the drive a bit more leeway since it was one of the ones that doesnt have a light and is in middle of the road, which I think is bad for a crosswalk. So I can more easily see how it was an accident and not negligence

Hitting someone in a crosswalk, a place where drivers should pay attention to.

I find it hard to see it as an accident

@The_Popo

THanks for the research. We have a lot of those crosswalks here in Portland as well. Some of them have a walk light, some of them don't. But it's still the law to slow down when approaching a crosswalk, I think. Like I said, this happens all the f'n time. Many drivers simply don't give a fuck about people walking.

This also goes the other way, I've seen so many idiots just cross the street outside of a crosswalk and without even looking because they're too fucking lazy to wait until they get to a crosswalk and they don't care about putting other people at risk.

Really? I figured by a huge marker like 6 months it would be easier. Keep it though! You made it this far you for sure can make it even further.

I thought so as well. It's the hardest thing I've given up. When I quit smoking Cigs years ago that was super easy, and I smoked way longer than I drank. I hardly drank at all growing up, all the way until I was in my 30s. Then starting in the last 3 years or so I was just drinking a lot. My problem was that I couldn't stop until I just passed out. It was becoming an issue, so I had to stop it

But yeah, it got it's claws into me. It's been really hard.

And it happens a lot. I don't understand why so many drivers just pull all the way into the crosswalk, blocking the whole thing off. I've been almost hit so many times because of it

I find it hard to see it has an accident when they hit someone in a crosswalk. All you drivers should know to pay attention at crosswalks. Since I don't drive, could someone explain to me how you don't pay attention to crosswalks?
