The crux of the argument for paying student athletes is that they bring in a lot of money to the school and don't get paid. If you're in a program that doesn't generate any profit, then of course you wouldn't have the luxury of getting paid.

If the schools started paying athletes directly, are you supposed to pay every student athlete the same? Most college athletes are not part of a top tier football or basketball team, and their college sport doesn't turn any sort of profit for the school. Especially female sports, is there a single college women's sports program in the nation that turns a profit?

Manga are generally published in weekly magazines

Marvel/DC needed to switch to this model a long time ago. Easy way to get people to read multiple titles, also gives a big boost for new comic series when they get tossed in there.

Anime is also a huge driver I think. The US has nothing like that, where the show sticks sooo close to the source material. People watch the first season of a new anime, get hooked, and then just pick up the manga right where the anime left off to find out what happens next. Tons of new readers.

ARVADA, Colo. (KDVR) Arvada police said Gordon Beesley, the Arvada police officer killed in Mondays shooting in Olde Town, was ambushed and targeted because he was a police officer.
In a Tuesday press conference, Arvada Police Chief Link Strate also identified the other person killed in the shooting as 40-year-old John Hurley, of Golden.
Strate released few other details, citing the ongoing investigation, but stressed that the suspect, who has not yet been identified, deliberately targeted Beesley.
While we dont yet have all the facts, I can tell you that Gordon was targeted because he was wearing an Arvada Police uniform and a badge, Strate said in a Tuesday news conference. Officer Beesley was ambushed by a person who expressed hatred of police officers.

Video game sales were up in 2020, but looking at the stock it was already rocketing up pretty good before the pandemic, cant contribute all that growth to people staying home, it already had momentum
