Legend of Dragoon is the slowest paced RPG I've ever played, by far (including the loadfest that is FFIX on the PS1), and the writing was ho hum. It got you from point A to point B, but it was very basic and felt like it was going through the motions. I dropped that one within 15 hours. This was very close to my experience with the game, except Im not sure I even played it that long. I wouldnt say I hated it, but I was very bored. |

What if you stick to the schedule, but every few weeks (possibly one week a month), you run a user select topic. That way we could keep the existing nominations and avoid having to wait until November for the user cycle. |

I think the idea would be that a person chooses 3 albums they would like to see covered, and I'll set up a poll in the first post so others can choose from those three for the following week. I would support a limit on active nominations, assuming people can be allowed to pull a nomination if it's not getting traction in favor of another. I could understand doing this, but speaking personally, I would not be ranking some of these albums if I didnt get to nominate something for doing so. While Im always happy to give new music a try, certain genres are difficult for me to listen to the whole way through the album, and Ive done so in the hopes of getting one of my albums done. |
