Renting is throwing money away. Especially with a likely child support payment crushing me right away. I don't think I could get out of the ditch of renting once it is started.

She apparently paid first month rent and a security deposit for a new place to move may 1st.

She was upset that she screamed for me to help with her son who wouldn't give her his phone when he was grounded. So I went up and he refused and got real shitty. Tried saying it was against the law to take his phone and he would call the cops. Was laying on top of his phone to prevent it being taken. So I stood him up and grabbed his phone he was laying on and told him if he didn't like the rules he needed to leave the house. He had a panic attack because we took his phone because he has naughty stuff on it. And, this spurred her to move out I guess.

I dunno. I did what she asked me to do, but apparently it was wrong. Even though everyone else involved was perfectly fine the next morning, and he apologized for what he did and agreed he was wrong. *Shrug*.

I don't have a problem with the cameras in theory, mainly for the insurance side of things like Corrik and SEP have said.

HOWEVER - the fact that this is Amazon, who is notoriously anti-worker and views its employees only as machines with unreasonable quotas, puts me on the side of "fuck you, Amazon."
Many trucking companies already have cameras in their semis and trucks alrdy.

I'm curious of the opinions here on the fact that Amazon is putting cameras in their trucks to monitor drivers.

The politics board here is freaking out saying it's authoritarian and illegal since it goes against the worker's right to privacy, but... I don't see the issue? It's no different than being monitored when working retail, which, if you work retail, you're absolutely being monitored, those cameras are used more to monitor employees than to actually stop theft. To me, it's a company owned truck that the only thing you should be doing in is working on company time, so I don't get where the "authoritarian" stuff comes in, but maybe I'm missing something
Non-issue. It's for insurance issues as well as liability issues. To be honest, if you believe all police should have body cams, then you should believe all workers should be able to be monitored.

On March 9, Gillibrand told Yahoo Fiance pushing for Cuomo's resignation "isn't the right conversation we should be having."

"Asking every female elected in our state when a person should resign or not resign really isn't the conversation we should be having. And I have to say, it's exceedingly frustrating because so many men who are also in public leadership aren't asked these questions day to day," she said. "The women in our state are not meant to be judges, jurors and executioners."

Gillibrand addresses Reade allegations: I stand by Vice President Biden
Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) on Tuesday defended former Vice President Joe Biden after a reporter asked if she believed allegations from Tara Reade, a former aide who says the then-senator sexually assaulted her in a secluded part of Capitol Hill in 1993.

Gillibrand, who ran for president last year, said she stood by the presumptive Democratic nominee and supported him, noting he had denied the allegations.
