Why does something being live action mean you have to ditch THE core central theme of the show?

I am really not seeing what something being live action has anything to do with changing the themes. You might as well have said, "yes but Cinnamon Toast Crunch" and it'd have slightly less relevance

My point is that I very highly doubt having real live little girls taking similar beatings would fly over well with people. It's one of those things that works better in animation, whereas with live actors, it's three little girls being beaten black-and-blue by grown men.

Of course, I have my doubts as to whether making a live-action adaption/sequel of this series is even a good idea.
