That bar scene with the snake guts, like, really? That's not beating a dead horse, that's like hitting a patch of glue. And the scene afterwards with Shelby also felt weird. Like the scene with Sam was funny enough, but the rest of it just reeked of why? Wouldn't be surprised if they turn Sharon into a bad guy, but I assume all the characters in this show are going to have a gray morality. They broke out Zemo when Bucky didn't want to work with the one dude because he called himself Battlestar lol. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

It comes right after the introduction of Isiah Bradley which aside from it being clear how poorly he was treated in his past because of his race, also is reminiscent of the Tuskegee Experiments. It would be easy to think of all of that being a product of less civilized time, but it's followed up by the scene with the police making a stark reminder that we absolutely have not progressed as much in race relations as many people seem to think we have. I would also argue that it ties in to the fact that Bucky and Sam (and the audience) judged Walker as a shitbag without knowing anything about him, just because he's taking Steve's place or doesn't deserve it or whatever, in the same way black people get judged just on the colour of their skin. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |

Because otherwise Vision wouldn't have been able to exist even temporarily when he left the bubble/cube (and it certainly wouldn't interest Hayward). If they recast the AoU guy, his story becomes a lot more personal and Wanda would be way more open and accepting of him. If you give it to another actor, you make the audience distrustful and play the hand of him being controlled by the villain too soon. It seems kinda crazy but Disney was just kind of poor value when all you have is Disney and Pixar movies, Star Wars, and Marvel (and Nat Geo). You might've already seen those Disney movies (and they don't even have the old cartoons like Aladdin) and if you're not into SW or Marvel it gets even worse. Also, Helstrom is now on there as well, so the only Marvel properties not on there at this point are Hulk, Spidey, Cloak & Dagger and the Netflix Marvel stuff. I don't mind Ryan in AH videos (although it's weird) but it becomes very awkward and bad when he makes a sexually-tinged comment. I had a huge backlog of Off Topic and then I arrived on the episode where they were laughing about how Ryan's body pillow sold the best or the glow-up he had compared to when he started and uh yikes. --- How paralyzingly dull, boring and tedious! |
