Great game, surprised how much emotion they gave the the shapes, good puzzles. Had it on my wishlist for years now and finally pulled the trigger. Ill probably play through again with the directors commentary, it was great. More games need to be able to be started/finished in an evening. Ill probably read flatland this week also.

Three games today, wow.

Its worth an evening.

Was entertaining for a couple hours then felt like a repetitive grind. The last few sections I just ran through and skipped the enemies.

Cool that it has a few different unique weapons to use. Wouldnt particularly recommend the game but it wasnt bad.

Wish there were more great games in the 2-4 hour range.

Hey! No roleplaying involved (but I guess you can if you want to) but yes its a tactical game with a huge focus on story and has full narration. I love it so far, made it through a few missions this week with my gf. We each are using all four party members and just deciding actions together. The artwork is much cooler than what the website shows and the map tiles have some awesome visual effects to them. Definitely my favorite campaign game.

Not to be a debbie downer, but do you know if they were using biodegradable stuff for the lanterns? Or the candles/heat source were safe? Those things are a massive fire hazard and generates a lot of litter.

Biodegradable with small cardboard-on-fire heat source so unlikely to be a hazard. Claimed to have a team of lantern chasers also to do some clean up. A bunch got caught in a tree from people setting them off directly under the tree and I was slightly worried but it was fine.

Yeah, I think it would be fun.

Masks were great for soft speakers. None of the shouters getting mad at soft speakers anymore because shouters just got mad at the mask.

No masks are to protect others more than yourself has been a big part of the concept of them. Mostly everyone needs to wear a mask for it to not be icky. Like you still have people breathing and spitting when talking and sneezing getting face crap getting over everything when they dont wear a mask. And it muffles people who speak too loud also which is great.

I like the redesign after the recent updates to it. Just use classic mode if you hate it.

One of the first links tells you fully vaccinated people can resume tasks without masks.

It doesnt feel icky though because of COVID.

Scientists are full poor comprehensions even within their own subfield. I know many trained physicists who still believe in ghosts. You cant use what youre pointing out as strong evidence for the statement youre trying to make.

Ooh Sunny making it personal. I actually havent published in two years and its been closer to 4 since I really talked about publishing. Ill probably get back into publishing again in a year or two once finishing up some other projects if I dont switch workplaces.

My company said we are all much happier and more productive when working from home but another company we work with (doesnt own us, just a partner kinda sorta no money has exchanged hands or been combined really) doesnt like that we can so we have to stop. Were also not allowed to have our own offices anymore and have to all bunch together in a cramped single room.

Idk I might consider a career change to get wfh again. I can do tech support and take a 50k paycut but also idk if Id like that.

Ive now been within a thousand feet of two of them.

Part 1 of 3 coming in at 35 pounds. Contains this massive 500 page fully narrated adventure book for story. So excited this wanted it for like seven years now when I saw it at comic con SLC and it finally came from Kickstarter. It looks like a semi-linear JRPG with branching narratives in a box and Im very excited to get this to the table like 30 times.

Most online places block the purchase and Amazon blocks it for iTunes cards and google play and more. Big companies need to block purchases if they dont want you to purchase an itemand they typically do. The explanation was that Sony is a small company that fell through the cracks, but thats doesnt make sense as it wont let me buy cards from smaller companies like Buffalo Wild Wings. Most stores have it on a case-by-case basis, like GameStop will let you buy PSN/Nintendo cards with GameStop credit but not Taco Bell cards and Best Buy used to let you do PSN but changed their policy recently.

I had the weirdest call with them, very unlike my normal Amazon calls and sounded like I was talking to a software engineer and not a customer service rep. I tried to buy two PSN gift cards for $75 each with my Amazon gift card (Ive done this many times in the past). They locked my account for suspicious acitivity. I called, they read me the policy saying I broke the rules about buying gift cards with gift cards, and will restore my accountbut their systems are down and cant restore my account so call back in an hour.

Like okay dont let me buy gift cards with your gift card if Im not allowed to dont fucking lock me out and read me your policy. I have $1000 credit on that account so Im a bit worried but its fine.

This part is really simple.

All massless particles always travel at c. All of them. All radiation. All visible and non-visible light. This are called "Photons". And the massless quantum particles. These are called "Gluons". And the massless particle that probably transmits gravity (Simplified explanation) called "Gravitons". They all always have speed c. Always. No exception currently exists, and no exception has existed in the past based on our current evidence (Which is extremely convincing).

All massive particles, which is everything else, will always have a speed below c. The receive mass because of the Higgs field, and because of this, they are able to travel at any relative speed slower than c.

Slow the photon being slows the propagation of the photon. I agree with you its always traveling at the speed of c.

Your explanation of weird paths isnt whats happening. Photons are being reabsorbed and re-emitted so propagation speed is slower. Its not going on all these random paths as the major reason for the slowing down (but it is happening). Speed of light is the same, but this is why it slows in a medium.

The photons are slowing down from interactions with the electrons. Its more that the photons are absorbed then re-emitted and theres a time delay on re-emission.

"c" is not a universal speed limit. It is the speed of light in a vacuum. Light neither goes slower or faster in a vacuum. It just goes at c. In other mediums light is slower such as air or water. Light doesn't really experience acceleration. The moment a force acts on photons it instantly reaches c (in a vacuum)

The complex even pays someone (not a lifeguard) to sit outside 12 hours a day to sign people into the pool and make sure nobody brings guests. Households are getting differing amounts of pool allowed people for paying the same amount in each month, because two people in a one bedroom vs one person in a one bedroom get a different amount of passes.

I like what they did when they had the limit of each household can bring 2 guests after paying a $50 annual pass to bring guests but they dropped that option this year. Straight up $10 per guest per day with a limit of 2 guests.
