i'm sorry so many people have been trolling you about this. i don't like the new look either, but the response has been pretty ugly.

i'm not sure i have any suggestions on what can be salvaged, but my best general suggestion moving forward would be to stop doing giant redesigns altogether. they almost never go well. smaller, more frequent changes are much less jarring, and it's easier for everyone to adapt.

also, give people as much control over their personal experience as you can manage. making sweeping backend changes will go nearly unnoticed if we can all customize the site to our own wants and needs. there really is no reason a message board needs to look the same for everyone. (nearly) every change you make should just be another option for us to use as we see fit.

I don't think Kang will last as long as Thanos personally. Didn't Feige even say that phase plots will overall be shorter now?

But at the very least he'll be around for a few things like Loki was.

Thanos wasn't really the driving force for the first three phases exactly. The stones were. He was only a major player a few times, but his machinations were felt throughout.

Kang is definitely deep enough to do something similar. Some version of him only gets directly involved from time to time, but "multiverse shenanigans" influence everything until he's finally dealt with.

I'm not sure it will happen that way, but it's definitely possible that it lasts for a while.

How many movies do we expect Kang to show up in?

We know Ant-man 3 which I think will specifically be Kang the Conqueror invading the prime timeline. Loki season 2 is obvious and will probably have lots of different Kangs. But what else? I don't think he'll be in Doctor Strange 2 and Spider-man 3. I think they'll be busy with other multiverse shenanigans. Other than that maybe one Avengers movie but I think that would probably be it?

I dont think were truly going to see the conqueror until avengers 5. I'm expecting his ant man appearance to be a bit of a swerve.

I've been trying to come up with something comparable since I posted that, and the only competition I can think of is the collector explaining the stones.

Like, we just got the explanation for why this universe hasn't crossed over like most of the others, why it shouldn't, and our first hint at what's coming now that it has. We're literally looking at everything from a completely new perspective now.

I believe if they stick with all this time travel and multiverse plot points for too long it be the thing that would kill the MCU. Every series that had them quickly dissolved fast.

i think they're going to keep most of the over the top stuff to a few self-contained movies. the rest will only have the established crossover stuff. it's just now those crossovers have more options to draw from.
