Match 1: Shameless Castlevania favoritism. Get funky. (I won't be upset if it loses, though, Immanence is its own flavor of very cool.)
Match 2: Another one I won't be too beat up if it loses, since both are cool in their own way. You have vibes that remind me of Ragnarok Online days, and you have what sounds like an Ace Attorney theme patched up by Falcom instrumentation
Match 3: I feel less bad not voting for Eschatos after it killed my nom, but again, Full Steam, also very cool. Today sucks for predictions but I win even if I lose :D

Presumably, masochistic platformer categorized by quick respawns (you die over and over repeatedly until you get over it.)

I'm torn. I like survival crafting, but I'm lukewarm to a lot of the genre. I got a bunch out of Terraria, which mixes but survival crafting and Metroidvania elements, but I also get a ton of replay out of roguelikes/roguelites (it doesn't hurt that I played a LOT of Nethack when I was in college.) Ultimately, I think the roguelike part wins, providing each run can provide some kind of benefit towards future ones (Noita is... kind of ballbusting in that regard.)

Seconding the crazy six pack, mostly. I like Kohri an awful lot, actually, but Subuta, apart from the giant prolonged "scare chord on a organ," is basically one of five songs I point to when I go "I love No More Heroes music."

I like the Hat in Time track too, but I've gotten the EO3 one stuck in my head before, and for match 3... that overall sound for Stay Gold is just tasty.

Weird association time - I will forever associate Magnet Man's theme with the ending of fever-delusions, since the first time I played MM3 was on the tail end of when I had chickenpox, and my brother brought home a rental, and Magnet was the first stage I picked.

I don't know how but it stuck in my head *really* hard, which was no mean feat for a five year old.

Edit: also, I know it's barely any different but for some reason I love, love, LOVE the MMIV version of Bright Man. Something about the Game Boy instrumentation did it a huge favor in my head.

Match 1: I find them both cheesy, but I'm going to go with my distaste for saxophone. Ugh, getting huge vocal-free "I Am The Wind" vibes from Blue Line.
Match 2: FF9 has so much good music, and then there's... well, Kuja's theme is INTERESTING, I'll give it that, but it is more confusing than enjoyable for me. I'm apathetic towards a lot of Sun/Moon's soundtrack, but this one's a good'un.
Match 3: Reflec beat: I don't wub it, at all. Penguins: kinda cool (but a LONG order, and lacks focus.) Do not listen in Midwestern states. With the thunderstorm and my half-asleep state right now, I kinda thought we were just having an actual tornado siren.

Morally questionable dogfighting vs. Staring at a questionably flavored wrap - I'll give Burrito some credit for reminding me of old Turtles arcade games. It's pretty cool, but I'm much more in tune with "let's count wrongly." Guess I'm in a funky EDM mood more so - it's just a lot more INTERESTING than Burrito for me.

Humbug, a goat struck (by some cat) vs. Please God no, I already had a stress test this year - Huh, Bahram was the first lock this contest, correct? I somehow missed listening to it at all, and I was expecting something a lot more headbangy or Eurobeat, given usual popular Bemani fare. Instead, I get something really chill. This automatically puts it leaps and bounds above Genesis noises ugh I'm sorry I just don't like the console's noises. Even discounting it, the melody doesn't serve to interest me for much longer than a loop.

Creo que vs. The thalassophile - Royal didn't add much to 5's soundtrack that it didn't already have, Gentle Madman notwithstanding. I Believe is a resounding *hand-waving-gesture* and more of the same, except somehow lesser? Wavetapper, on the other hand, is up there with Kaze no Notam-Discovery and Saira - Baluchons with my "dudes, nice finds" of the contest. Even if it loses, I'm happy it resides in a personal playlist now. I could do without the telephone noises, but everything else is just gravy.

Just kidding I fucking love the telephone noises being part of the melody it's genius.

- I am in love with the piano on the Instrumental tracks, since the synth-style original track is... just too speedy and doesn't really work with anything except for Fuse Man. The Saturn one just sounds like every platformer in the 90s to me, unfortunately.
- Of course, I immediately go to the heavily synthed Rival theme instead, 'cuz it's so much cooler than, like, every MM11 theme. Even though it's against some really cool part of Atelier (I love when that one cuts out and goes funky, and alternates between it and guitar shredding/drum smashing.) This match is almost a coin-flip. Almost. The constant tempo and mood shifting from Sky did this one for me.
- It's a NieR song, and one of my favorite ones from Automata, at that.

And now for something negative, unfortunately:

OMORI vs. FFX - WTF I love harpsichord stop it Omori. Its inclusion is the only thing beating out Besaid for me, since I am one of the FF fanboys here (that, and I really don't like the extremely low piano beat in Besaid, which jars an otherwise peaceful tune.)

13S vs. LoR - Another LoR song that would have won my vote if it just weren't the singer. I'm sorry to all the LoR fans out there but I just can NOT get into her voice. 13S is just consistently good throughout, in comparison.

Murasaki Tsurugi vs. Hokkaido Serial Murders - I just feel Speartip starts EDM and then tries to mix Eurobeat and a Sonic theme and it goes on way too long for me. On the flip side, I wholly commend whoever nominated Pursuit (and wonder if me running it in a VGMGG had anything to do with it.) My only regret is I didn't link the superior RM4-I version. Yes, this match is support-favoritism, but I also genuinely enjoyed Pursuit more than Speartip, too.
