These people paid a fee to get them and were responsible for food and medical care. Shelters were also provided for them. They were all wild, rescued cats that had been vaccinated, spayed or neutered. Not candidates for indoor family life. So instead of killing them, they set them up to do their own thing and have someone responsible for giving them some level of care. They happen to be known to be good with children and very affectionate toward their family while also being fantastic protectors. The ones that my parents have are always gentle with my four year old niece and if she goes outside they stick to her like glue. She's never outside on her own of course, but those dogs make sure to keep an eye on her anyway. --- "DO NOT INTIMIDATE ROBO-DUDE."

When I buy pizza it's generally something like a creamy garlic sauce with steak, grilled onions and mushrooms. Edit : Forgot to mention there are cameras on every work station, stair well, break room etc. Everyone's aware that they're being watched at all times It's kind of amazing how many cameras they have in these places. I have access to the system and regularly have to watch people on them. I can follow them from their car, into the building, across the floor, up the stairs and to their station without ever losing sight of them.
