I still feel that Cole is going to end up becoming Johnny Cage by the end of the film if they wish to make this a running series of films.

As for the Scorpion line, i've said it in other topics, I actually really like this version as it's less-cartoony and sounds more like someone actually wanting to kill someone.

I was just in a discussion with my friends about it and one of them said that Cole Young kind of sounds like Kuai Liang, the younger brother of Bi Han (the Sub Zero we're seeing in the trailer). I'm just thinking that he definitely has something to do with the ninjas and their conflict, considering we saw a "jump scare" when Cole was looking at the mirror and Scorpion suddenly appears. In the plot summary on Wikipedia, it even says that he's being hunted down by the Lin Kuei ninja clan.

But yeah I don't think the line was bad per say, I just got used to Ed Boon saying it.

Yeah, this was one of the main appeal for me as a kid. Seeing pokemon in their natural habitat in 3D was a major selling point for me.

I played it on the Gamecube and enjoyed it. Though I always found it strange why the female characters had their zippers down to show their cleavage, but the gameplay was solid enough for me to continue playing.

There's a power difference though, and considering his primary target audience tend to be of the younger age... it's a very dangerous thing for him to do. Obviously I don't think he's a pedo or anything of the sort, but it was a very dumb thing to do. And his channel is paying the price for this stupid controversy, his videos don't get the high view counts he once has... and I'm saying this as a person who watches his videos.

Please please please let this movie be good! I'm not asking for a masterpiece, but at least somewhere in the Detective Pikachu range (and that's already a pretty low bar)

I'm glad it's not MKX or MK11 gory and the characters look well represented. Sad to not see Johnny Cage in it, but I think Kano is going to be the one who will take the Comic Relief role. I'm just glad Kung Lao is getting some love and it's funny and cool to see Ludi Lin (Black Ranger) as Luke Kane. The final part with Sub Zero freezing the blood to a knife and then creating an ice wall, unnecessarily, was fucking badass though. I have mix feelings about not using Ed Boon for the "Get over here!" line, but Sanada is too much of a badass for me to complain about.

I'll definitely get HBOmax just to watch this movie.

The difference being that those tend to be free to play and don't require a $60 entry fee.

It's still a GaaS though and F2P games tend to be predatory, which is the main reason so many of them are making a shit ton of money.

Yeah the movie had to change his origin story because it was so similar to Tony Stark's. It's still a decent flick, the best thing about it was the action scenes though, it was pretty trippy.

It didn't have any content. It just had the core gameplay, an open world map, and about 10 hours of missions to do. Other than that, it had 4 repeatable endgame dungeons that took about 30-45min to complete.

Oh god, thats sounds almost what Marvel Avengers is right now lol. Some of these developers need to take notes how Destiny 2 managed to save itself.

I honestly think his videos got better, he kinda dropped the over reaction aspect of his character and goes more into why a certain movie gets the reputation and see if its warranted or not. I honestly think his reviews are a lot more fair now, but that's just me. I still cringe at the terrible skits he does, but I know why he had to do it to prevent his videos from getting taken down.

Too much about it bugs me to want to try, though I can't say it's a bad game. It's just not Guilty Gear for me. They got rid of corner pressure entirely with that wallbreak mechanic.

You can still corner pressure them without wall breaking, but I get not liking the wallbreak mechanic if you hate neutral games (strive is really pushing neutral as much as possible).

The netcode is actually playable (looks like Arks systems finally cracked the rollback) and the combat system (while playing differently from past GG games) is fucking excellent. It also helps that the game looks amazing and my favorite character I-NO is going to be in it (i laughed when they gave her a bra, but she still looks amazing). The only thing I hate about the game is the lobby system. When I play a fighting game I want to actually fight people and not spend time looking for people to play with.

2 more months until we get the actual game, I'm so goddamn hyped.

Yeah at one point the show got really preachy. While I agree with some of its messages, after awhile it got really tiring and the show ends up destroying its own message like always portraying gay people as effeminate perverts.

C-stick is like the middle ground between control stick and button. It's oddly better in scenarios where you need to flick, but it fails in every other category compared to an actual control stick.

Yeah this, perfect when you need to do a quick smash attack, terrible when it came to aiming it was a major pain in the butt.

There is no communication and if God wants something specific of people, we have no idea what it is. If he wanted anything or cared about what we thought, wouldn't there be a better way?

I remember when I was in grade school (it was when I was a devout Southern Baptist) I asked the question, "If God is all knowing and omnipotent, why does he use a book to communicate his message? It always seems like it is always being taken out of context by people (it was during one of our Sunday teachings about how the Catholic Church corrupted the bible)." Obviously my teacher couldn't answer it other than "He works in mysterious ways." It always seems to be the default response when they can't answer a question lol.

The story suffered from the fact that they tried to make it this huge Universe thing and unless you followed the story from watching the movies and reading the material, you would most likely get lost in what the hell was happening. I also hated how they locked story content behind a paid DLC wall. Honestly if they implemented the gameplay from FF7Re into this game, the gameplay could've been really good. Like it would fit pretty damn well with this game considering the biggest theme in this game was brotherhood, but instead we have a game that basically plays itself: you can literally hold the circle button to attack and hold the square button to dodge, driving is basically on rails, you can't manually do summons, etc.

There's a lot more that prevents this game from being good, but even with all of my complaints I still enjoyed my 65hrs in this game. It's a guilty pleasure, but I enjoyed the brotherhood aspect of the game and being able to cruise around in a car with your homies reminds me of when I used to go on road trips with my friends.
