I don't think there's been that much of a real "backlash" of the show, there's disappointment and annoyance over fietro but I don't think that's overtaken the rest of the show / finale.

There's resignations that WandaVision wasn't some masterpiece series or anything and it had its flaws, but it told a great story for the duo with a very well-received villain so I don't think Disney is sweating any bullets

there's lots of bad decisions in the series - in many series. it's hardly some grave offence to think some decisions suck, and it's not at all the only thing people have been focused on here whether they overall enjoyed the show or not.

Ralph Bohner is really annoying, his existence post-cliffhanger-reveal is just nothing but trolling - and yeah literally ending it on lol boner come on

that Scarlet Witch outfit was flawless tho and hell yeah post-credits hype. As they said with Vision, there will be another "Hello" I'm sure, highly doubt White Vision just killed himself because of his programming which he could surely hack out of himself after the unlock... he's Vision.

Show did well for WandaVision that's for sure, their post-Ultron presence in the MCU always felt hollow to me until now. Monica... yeah just setup for her, but I appreciate her support for Wanda in a sea of people (rightfully) hateful of her.

Hayward... he just makes the outside-WandaVision world feel so unnecessary since his role is so cartoonishly evil. I guess they needed someone to make White Vision but in hindsight I'd rather they really minimize the whole role of the SWORD stuff -or rather they just didn't need to be baddies. I am a fan of Jimmy & Darcy tho, they're always just enjoyable - just a shame they're tied up in the worst side of the show.

yeahhhh I'm cool with Counters as a way to slow your pace down and make you have to test the waters but... I'm not sold on the execution, when you're at the point that every action you could make gets countered it's just enraging

doesn't help that details of the counters aren't stored anywhere and if you got increased battle speed on you'll very likely miss what the heck happened.... let alone if something happened during a set of Brave actions

Xenoblades 1 & 2 are more directly connected to each other albeit separate - it's a kind of connection where you need to play both to get it and you wouldn't think too much about it otherwise

You can make a case that XB2 also connects X but it's very lightly

XCX is an entirely different style of RPG than the mainlines for sure, much more focused on an open world of exploring and sidequesting with a main story just to check back in with whenever. Not to say its main story doesn't have some nice twists and intrigue (chapter 5 reveal legit surprised me and made pretty cool sense) and well for better or worse the game ends on a complete cliff-hanger. They do a good job making the planet Mira mysterious though, as well as building New LA as a new city developing with the planet and its pre-existing inhabitants.

Torna btw definitely fixes up the anime stuff with a more serious plotline - partly because it's actually focused on its prologue story, although it's also still big on community building sidequests which kinda makes the game feel a lot like Majora's Mask... I'm not the first person to make this comparison! Torna even brings back an Affinity Chart like system in the form of the Community mechanic which is more analogous the Majora's Mask Bomber's Notebook, keeping track of NPC's and who you have or haven't helped out yet. The feature and sidequests in general aren't as fleshed out as Majora's Mask but it definitely gives the vibe of it a lot. The story definitely keeps a more mature tone with absolutely the most emotional ending in the series - of course, building into the eventual events of Xenoblade 2 - while making the sidequesting throughout feel all the more meaningful.

D/P was actually really huge on B8, for myself it was like a major return to the series after not caring so much of RSE (and being much younger time passed much slower!)

and over here we were all excited to be able to play and trade together with the new online features and even hosted our own Board 8 Gym Challenge - with different B8ers being assigned a different element as Gym Leaders

Yes I am British lol, you don't normally get British accents that are this varied in Japanese (or even American) media like this so it's pretty impressive! I'm guessing Reyn might sound a bit comical to some but he's very accurate lol, my own accent is closer to his than anyone else's in the cast.

XB2's pretty neat with its voice acting since each region has its own UK dialect and then the Blades are typically American

Also playing Bravely Default 2 right now which is a full of different accents from the UK as well and oh god all this slang I can't imagine being real namely all the things Elvis the Scot says but I love it

First 2 asterisks of chapter 2 down and I continue to really like their characterizations and stories so far sans Serene who well whatever at least she has Dag with her.

Neat with these two asterisks since you can do them either order and I'm playing side-by-side with my brother so we went different ways and got to see how they differ and come together.

Also hilarious how our play-styles differ, I was getting obliterated by the the physical attack barraging boss of in my path, but immediately nuked down the healing one that my brother was having difficulty witting down. Then on the flip side my brother tanked the boss I was having difficulty with like nothing was going on and gradually beat them with ease.

(this actually matches our different play-styles in most games where i'm a rusher and he's a camper)

Shulk's heal really is all you need but he's not the only non-Sharla aka non-dedicated healer character with heals so if you need more you can eventually have another mid-healer in the future
