Anything more than a shared stash would pretty dramatically alter the way the game works. If nothing else, it's really too long to be a proper rogueli(k/t)e, so you'd need to see quite a bit of the game cut out.

Honestly a game doesn't need to be short to be a roguelite, and a good one could be made that would take years to finish.

Take D2 LOD as an example.

First, every character would be made hardcore, next you actually expand the length of the game, max level, # of skills, synergies etc.

Then you add points that you get per play through for finishing certain objectives (Beating bosses etc), higher the objective, more points.

Those points unlock things in town, abilities for characters etc.

You also eventually can unlock the ability to reincarnate. This resets a character back to level 1, as any class, but with advantages gained from previous reincarnations (they stack).

Each playthrough if you don't die (which is not very likely initially without bonuses etc, or pretty much impossible even) would take 20-30 hours at least.

Each class can be reincarnated multiple times (say 5 total).

Bonuses are something like 10% bonus to max health per barbarian reincarnation, 10% max mana per sorceress reincarnation, 10% more damage per assassin reincarnation etc.

Finally you end up with an over all bonus if you reincarnate everything at least once (+30 to all stats for instance).

With Barb/amazon/druid/assassin/sorc/paladin/monk/necro/shaman/Demon Hunter
you would have 10 reincarnations base to get the (all reincarnation bonus), at 20-30 hours min per, would be 200-300 total hours just for that. Then to actually get all to the max 5 reincarnation (Which you get another full char boost for) would take 5x that, or 1000-1500 hours.

Keep in pvp like before, but chars don't get erased for loosing a pvp mach and you have insane amounts of replayability, especially if you make the top end content extremely dangerous even for high end chars (so you could still die even capped out).

Delta variant is just as lethal but there are a few factors making less people die.

First, alot of the very high risk people to die, already have.
Second, the main cause of death, a high percentage of deaths at least, was lack of resources/medical facilities. That is more under control now. The places with the highest death rates had the least amount of resources.

Third, much like the first, most of the people who are high risk have already gotten the vaccine, so the people contracting the Delta variant are generally not nearly as high risk and likely to die from it.

The number of deaths was always very low for those under 40 without diabetes/high blood pressure/immune compromises etc. Most people who were at high risk of death have either A: croaked or B: gotten the vaccine. While there are still tons of unvaccinated people, which is causing the delta variant to spread like crazy, most won't die from it now.

I'd try the funyuns one but.......lately lays has been cutting back on the flavor on their chips. The BBQ chips taste like plain chips mostly with a bit of salt and that is it.

I mean they like are not orange at all anymore etc.

So I don't know if it even matters what flavor you get anymore.

Yeah, you can level entirely in Adventure mode, primarily via rifts. With a level 25 Gem of Ease (+2500% exp, allows the level 70 weapon it's in to be used at any level), you can get a new character to 70 in like 4 rifts, which takes like half an hour at most. You won't have that on your first character in a given season, but it's still pretty quick to level, and doesn't involve slogging through the campaign.

Oh, is it per season? Maybe I was FORCED to play through the campaign since I would always come back in a different season (probably). I felt like I didn't have any other options besides the campaign till I finished the game.

I did with the paladin (not the shaman as it was back when the game launched that I played the shaman). I played end game some with the paladin back when that launched/was added. Things may have changed since then again though.

When Necro was added I got it, but I couldn't get through the campaign with it, was too freaking boring, so I just gave up.

May give it another try since I'm pretty bored with Path of Exile this season.

Wait, so maybe there is a way to actually enjoy D3? I always played thorugh the INCREDIBLY BORING campaign with a new character. I finished it with the paladin and like 1 other char, never finished it with the necromancer though and a bunch of others (paladin and Shaman I think it was).

I may reload it and see if I can just avoid the campaign with the others.

Well commission based contract work is basically 0$/hr min wage. Most sales do require employees to be paid a base pay even if they don't sell anything but they can have a draw system where if you don't sell enough, you go into draw and that money is taken from any future sales you make (Sears used to be like that).

In effect you are being paid $0/hr, even if you do get a base pay for a paycheck, unless you NEVER sell anything in which case they will fire you.

I'm totally into LitRPGs lately and yeah, usually you do get respawns on death, making you basically immortal (in some you don't age either).

If my choice above worked you ALSO get the option to reincarnate (same memories etc, different body/race etc). I chose DDO because there are like 10+ races and 12+ classes which you can reincarnate as (with different bonuses for reincarnating and a final bonus for reincarnating as everything). You would basically have so many lives you could live lol.

That's exactly how it works in d2. You have to beat lower difficulty to go to higher and you keep your stats and equipment.

Another way to increase difficulty is to set number of players higher.

Nog there are 3 difficulties you play through, each is harder with bigger penalties (non in normal), but also higher monster levels and therefore drops.

If your not playing with other people, there at least used to be a program called pluggy that would let you set the # of players to a higher number (which ups the monster difficulty, item drop rate and exp) along with other things that you normally had to be online for. I still think I have it on my computer.

I'm not sure if it's active at all online at this point, but I don't think I played online last time I played it (a few years ago).

ManI was doing great and had seen all of em up till dead waters, which I have never even heard of, and then BAM I havn't seen any after that. So a total nope on pokemon 2000 (didn't see detective pikachu either (well like 5 minutes of it). Edited also didn't see The Fountain.

D2 with the expansion was insanely good for it's time. Phantasy star online was great as well, but D2LoD was the real first amazing multiplayer online game (even if you could only play with a few people). I even enjoyed the PVP aspects sometime (about the only game that has ever been true of other than Doom back in the day.

I am on the fence about the remaster as graphics don't make a diff to me (Literally replaying World of Xeen right now). IF they add new content, do another patch to make new synergies or something, that might draw me in, but otherwise I'd just play the old version instead (probably with Pluggy so I can play offline but still have the online stuff).

As far as supporting Blizzard, honestly the people who are gonna get money from it are so rich already nothing really matters, it's just how much money they get, and if the franchise is profitable enough for them to continue investing in it in the future. If you like a game, buy it and play it. If you don't buy it, there will be no other games like it (at least from that company) and the only people who are really hurt are the customers who like that type of game.

The owners etc will make money in other ways. The employees will get jobs on other projects. Not playing a game because of politics is pointless.
