Do they know what happened at all? Was this a low income or majority ethnic community? I have a lot of questions

Currently everything has been focused on rescue so I haven't seen anything that says they know the cause yet. It is beach front property near Miami, so definitely not low income.

It would be disgusting if it were a real thing.

The thing about Epstein is that at least there was a narrative about why the government supposedly wanted to kill him. There isn't even a reason for anyone to want to kill McAfee, aside from the fact that he was an annoying ass.

I used to get shoe restoration videos in my YouTube recommendations but I haven't seen one pop up recently. Wonder if that is a COVID thing.

My wife and I haven't worn our rings in years. Neither of us were used to wearing rings and we kept taking them off to do stuff and eventually just figured it was easier not to wear them.

My best friend is someone I've known since first grade, aside from him I'm not in touch with anyone else from school or college.

We had good friends move away a couple years ago. Lost his job here and found a new one in KY and then from there another new job in TX.

We went out to visit a couple times, but they were kind of in the middle of nothing, so expensive for a short visit and no real reason to burn the vacation time for a longer visit.

A smaller zoo near us has hours set aside for dogs two days a week. You have to apply in advance, provide proof of vaccinations (for the dog) and they limit the number of dogs each day to keep manageable.

From the way people talk about these things, I must be extremely lucky. I went to several conventions every year (in the Before Times), and I very rarely came across anyone with BO or poor hygiene.

I've certainly come across it, but I think it varies by con. I've been to multi-day cons where people didn't get hotel rooms and just stayed at the convention all night and after a couple of days without showering people start getting a bit ripe.

Deep Rock Galactic, mostly. Started playing Mechwarrior 5 when it showed up on Gamepass. It feels like a game from the 360 generation. Super disappointed. :( Still going to finish it though.

Yeah, I'd heard bad things about the PC version of it so I'd largely given that a pass. Shame since it has been a long time since there was a decent MW game.

I didn't say there was human input or command, what I said was that it is designed to work without human input or command, which means that it was doing what it was designed to do and not 'rogue'. Read the UN report, there is no mention of the term rogue anywhere in that report and numerous other articles reported on the event without the click bait title.

I'm not saying there is no issue here, its just that the issue is that someone thought it was a good idea to design combat drones that operate without human intervention rather than "OMG SKYNET!"

Based on the article it doesn't sound like it was rogue. It was deployed in a warzone and was designed to autonomously attack targets without operator input.

So it basically did what it was designed to do...granted what it was designed to do seems like a terrible idea but I don't think it qualifies as 'rogue'.

Many many years ago I worked at a life insurance company handling sales complaints and it did not leave me with the best of opinions regarding insurance agents.

It is unbelieve the kinds of things agents and sales managers would do to try to keep people from cancelling their policies.

Sunday was my two week mark after shot two so I'm fully vaccinated.

Theoretically it is worse because at least the gold farmers were earning the gold through the game, so it was just moving money in the economy between 'players', but from the average player perspective it largely amounts to the same thing in the end.
