I saw synchronized swimming on TV at the gym this morning and was amazed that it was still in the Olympics.

They need to cut some sports and events like crazy. Anything synchronized is dumb. You can turn any event into a synchronized event. It doesnt add anything or make it more interesting.

There are too many events that are the same except for slight distance differences. Rowing is funny because its like they just put more people on the boat gradually to make 100 different events.

There are also too many events in some things that are like forced worse techniques. Karate and TKD for example could be combined into martial arts or add Judo and wrestling and you have MMA. Breast stroke, butterfly, and backstroke are all pointless when its just about being the fastest too.
I agree with most of this.

To me, they could cut close to half of the shit they're doing now. The Olympics should stick to the basics, track and field & boxing. That's all it was 2000 years ago. I can live with swimming and gymnastics, basketball and baseball. Martial arts and wrestling seem appropriate given boxing is an original sport.

But the skateboarding, synchronized anything and a lot of other shit should go to the X Games or wherever.

So is the breading more like a pancake than a pizza base? Is it sweet or just in terms of texture? And how do you eat it, if its that soft/limp? With utensils?
Batter (wheat flour) not really breading that's the 'pancake' like part. Not too sweet. Toppings though like a pizza. Cabbage is a must. I usually choose seafood as the protein, TC chose bacon. Then a sauce or two and almost anything else you want.

BTW" Okonomiyaki means "as you like it" (literally 'grilled thing as you like it) and you're encouraged to customize.

Then claimed to drive from L.A. to Vegas in 2 hours. Then L.A. to El Paso in 5 hours.

I lived on the East Coast a few years and was amazed at how little people outside the West understand about CA.

  1. It is bigger than Japan
  2. The cities of San Francisco, Boston, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, St. Louis and Clevelandplus the island of Manhattan can fit within the Los Angeles city limit simultaneously. You can fit another 8 or so "major" cities within the rest of the county of Los Angeles. Next county over from L.A. is San Bernardino County which dwarfs L.A. county geographically, if not in population.
  3. They assume the weather is the same throughout the state.
  4. They assume 2-3 big fires in remote areas affects the whole state. Those fires are usually hundreds of hundreds of miles from populated areas.
  5. They assume the terrain is all the same - we have deserts - Joshua Tree, High desert, and Sahara sands style, which are all completely different, forests, snow capped mountains, Midwestern style plains, and beaches. Even the beaches can be vastly different.

Bad Pete Rose, Gym Jordan haircuts. Fat. Poorly tailored clothes. I saw a white man wearing a purple suit. The women are worse. Think kindergarten school teacher chic.

L.A. is spoiled in terms of broadcasters. The best go national, but often come back (Michaela Perria).

Jack in the box is a San Diego franchise. As a kid I was astonished they sold tacos ("American tacos") and burgers under one roof.

Their burger could be better. Their tacos much better, but they sell more tacos than McDonald's sells Big Macs.

Also came out with the 1st breakfast sandwich.

L.A. has the best burgers. In-n-out, Tommy's or Fatburger. The holy trinity. Fatburger was started by a black woman from South Central btw and is considered the black people's burger in many circles in Los Angeles.

Been to shake shack, whataburger and all those other places. One dimensional and frankly bland.
In-n-out forced Mc Donald's brothers to sell to Ray krok. Mc Donald's started as an L.A. franchise but couldn't keep up with L.A. tastes..

He stated the unfortunately true fact that the average American reads at the 7th grade level, and that in 2021, we are trying to explain college and grad school level problems to them.

Harsh, but true. Americans are dumb and that's how Trump won.
