It's very dry and doesn't rain much (not surprising for a desert). It for sure gets over 100 for some stretches in the summer, but I think it mostly hover in the low hundreds, high nineties. Cost of living is very reasonable and affordable (this is coming from someone who lived in the Bay Area before though, so what's reasonable to me may not be reasonable to others and more a result of being abused by the housing and rental market there).
