You kind of have to hunt to find this. Most new cast iron skillets come pre seasoned and it gets kind of a mini reseasoning every time you cook on it.

I've found if you're manually seasoning that margarine actually does a really good job. You can visually see it so that you know you're properly covering the entire pan.

There's generally no reason to season it unless you've had to scrub off rust.

I've never in my life felt that soap has made things harder to clean, only that it's useful for breaking down oils in the food stuck to the pan surface. Naturally you rinse all that off anyway. The one thing water won't do is break down oil, so how are you removing that leftover food oil from the surface of the pan?

I can only speak to the information I've posted and my personal experience, but I think water (left on for too long) is the key mischief maker with cast iron, not soap.

I dump all the oil into a paper cup for disposal in the trash. Anything left on the pan I swipe up with a paper towel and throw out, then I rinse the pan for a minute or so and dry it off.

If I use soap I end up having to rinse several times to make sure it's all gone.

The whole point of soap is that it ain't sticking around

I mean more like remaining residue will be left over in the pan unless you scrub it with water thoroughly enough that you would have cleaned it anyway if you hadn't used soap in the first place. It's extremely easy to clean cast iron with just warm water and paper towels. There's no need to add additional work by using soap.

I've actually sanded down a real abused one and it was grey when I finished it.

It's probably more like scratches in the iron looked grey. I've seen the same thing and after washing and cooking food on it for a while to smooth out the scratches it looks black again.

My cast iron skillet routine:

* wash it normally
* get it completely dry, rub oil in and then rub it off
If it ever gets bad, boiling water and baking soda fixes it. But by lightly reseasoning each time like the above it never gets bad. Everything pretty much just slides off.

P.s. I really think the "don't ever use soap on a cast iron skillet" thing is a bit of a meme. Seasonings are built over time, they're not magical fragile things.

The soap becomes the new seasoning if you use soap. Don't do it.

TC get a plain non-soapy steel wool pad for scrubbing stuck bits or rust off. Warm water and paper towels are fine otherwise.

never use a dishwasher or let it soak. When not actively being used it should be perfectly dry.

AoU was good, I just wish it was two movies instead of one.

I liked all three Iron Man movies but the third one felt like it was missing something.

@Tyranthraxus you have good taste, what did you think of WW 1984 and also the first one in the Snyderverse?

I did not care for WW 1984 but I think saying it's "atrociously bad" is kind of exaggerating. The first hour or so of the movie was pretty good it mostly just falls apart towards the end.

The first one I thought was good but I always liked BvS more than it. I know that's kind of controversial around these parts but that's how it is and I also really liked BvS.

And honestly, Thor: The Dark World is the best of the three. I really don't understand why people don't like this movie. It's leagues better than the first one. It has some incredible characterization of Loki. Malekith wasn't particularly interesting but he didn't need to be since the movie was mostly about Thor & Loki's relationship with each other and with Frig. The action was good and plentiful unlike the first movie which was like 90% boring shit. Jane also hadn't yet been relegated to an off panel joke.

oh okay, explain where the rebels came from and how they got so powerful, using only the original trilogy.

The rebels were a tiny camp of a few thousand people living on the moon of a random planet and had barely enough astromechs to go anywhere and their former main base of operations (Alderaan) just got blown up. The rebels are servere underdogs as they should be.

They later strike an alliance with Mon Calamari in ROTJ.

First wonder woman wasn't any better. Had like 2 scenes of her doing leg sweeps. Like come on, your a demi god, at the very least stand up straight with her opponents and spartan kick them through the wall.

Then the final fight was like a shonen anime where they just take turns blasting each other away.

Batman vs superman and justice league at least make wonder woman look cool fighting properly.

Sliding leg sweeps are easy low risk stunts that can be done by the actor which is why you'll see them a lot in superhero movies in general.

1. Not really. Venti prefers crit Dmg and crit rate. His natural energy regen is so good you don't need any additional.
2. Elemental mastery is the worst scaling stat on Anemo reactions. Sucrose is a strange exception. No other Anemo character wants EM.
3. Attack as a main stat is good, but after leveling to +18 looks like all you got was a bunch of +def% for your trouble

The empire is the backdrop of the OT. The protagonists are the rebels.

In the ST the protagonists essentially are the new empire and the antagonists are the rebels but for some inexplicable reason the new rebels have as many more resources than the old rebels who were hiding in ice giants of no interest to avoid detection. There's no explanation for how they got that powerful.

Explained in what way? I don't think knowing what people are is the same as explaining how they got there. We know Smoke is the leader of the First Order just like we know Jabba is a crime lord and the Emperor is the Emperor. We don't even know the emperor's name in the OT.

We learn that Jabba is a crime lord who wants Han Solo because of an unpaid debt.

We get told a lot about Vader from Obi-Wan and then later the father twist shows up but the twist wasn't that he gets unceremoniously killed off.

There's not really a lot to explain about the emperor he's just bad but at least we know he's been in charge of the whole thing.

I feel the exact opposite. The story to FFT is so overrated and cliche, and looks like garbage when placed next to a masterpiece like Tactics Ogre. FFTA at least tried something different storywise.

I mean the guy who wrote the story for TO is the same guy who wrote FFT. It's no coincidence that a lot of the same themes are present and there being some fairly obvious analogues in both games.

The FFTA is pretty much just rank and file Isekai crap that's been going on since Narnia.

The story is so much better it's not even worth detailing why. It's like reading YA fiction from a first time published author vs Stephen King. Just play it. Use cheats if you just want to get through the story or look up strategies on how to break the game early and be basically invincible.

The law system was whack but halfway through the game you got enough law cards that it was basically optional anyway.
