This is my thoughts too. I dont get the level of outrage. He is a politician that is more responsible for what is going on than normal people but still...the idea that people have to stay in an unsafe and uncomfortable place when they have the means to not do so doesnt make sense to me. And Cruz is a POS that shouldnt be in office.

This is obviously a shitty troll topic, but...

As a lawyer, lawyers are not judged solely on if they win or lose and in my experience, the ones that act like winning is all that matters are usually not very good or brand new.

I have been part of some interesting trials with some of the best lawyers in the country and the good ones are good for how they work, present themselves, the effort the put in and how they make an argument. Winning and losing matters but no decent lawyer would pretend that it is the sole factor to judge one's performance.

I have seen lawyers that have been on the bad end of a case end up with a great reputation or a job offer because of how they worked on the case. There is a lot more to it than winning and losing.

I haven't received either of the 2 stimulus checks because I am fortunate to make more than the prior limits. However, I somewhat agree and disagree with what you are saying. I don't need the $1400, and it wouldn't make a difference in whether I ate or paid mortgage, but it would effect me in that I would be more likely to spend it on dumb shit, a weekend trip, car, or invest it.

I think, if the point is to spur the economy than they should be giving it to more people than they are. If the point is to help people that need it, than they should give more $ to fewer people.

One time payments of $600 or $1400 isn't going to help the people that lost their jobs or closed their businesses get by for very long. It's going to mostly be injected into the larger economy to keep everything from collapsing but there are still underlying conditions that it doesn't really address.

Agreed. This is what is happening and what's going to keep happening. People that just discovered WSB are texting their friends and family the b.s. but a lot of these same people are going to get caught bag holding because they are just following the leaders and the leaders are going to be out first and quietly.

There are a ton of retail players with large portions but I think since the events of last week some are going to be exercising an exit strategy soon because it's pretty clear there are other factors in play that will prevent a true infinite squeeze.

On a less serious note, it's also going to suck when WSB starts to get lame. A lot if the memes were already being over or used and it's only a matter of time until the PC police try to be heard. It was more fun to read than any other sub I'm aware of.

GME isn't going to get above 400 Monday if limits are still imposed on retail.

I sold 8 of my last 10 shares Friday right before the market closed because until it's clearer what the major brokerages are going to be doing next week it's a much more risky position to hold in the 300s than it was a week ago for under $100. There is much more downside.

This week has shown that there are factors in play that people didn't anticipate. There were major problems on the backside of the market that were not anticipated and don't look like they will be changing for the better. The short interest is coming down and the entire world is watching what's happening while they have limited new demand from retail. Its like a new pressure release was added.

There is still a decent chance GME does squeeze up in the next week or two but a whole set of new risk was inserted into the marker last week and the path forward has become much less clear.

I want to be able to buy back in but not at the current price. I think a drop into the low 100s will happen before 1000 if retail can't buy shares still.

The more I'm reading about last week the higher it seems the possibility that RH really didn't do anything wrong in the way it seemed. I blasted them and am in no way saying it shouldn't be looked into or that it shouldn't be investigated. I hope e-mails, phones records, and documents are all subpoenaed and reviewed to see what really happened but there is definitely a high chance that they were just reacting to a shitty liquidity problem and had to restrict selling, as other sites did too, because of rules regarding clearing houses.

What is going on with dodge coin is another thing. I haven't been following it and don't really know how crypto works anyway but as far as restricting securities on Thursday and Friday, they may have been justified.

What a fucking day...

I was so angry this morning but by this point I'm just apathic. I only had ten shares but I think I'm more upset about the reality of what happened. Normal people get fucked by the system over and over. I can't imagine what other people, with decent positions, went through today. I sold 5 shares when it was in the high 300s and then bought 5 more on my E-trade account later in the day when it was below $200 because I'm an idiot that doesn't want to give up.

I am going to hold and see what happens tomorrow but its such a shitty realization that normal people are just fucked by the system. All the politicians can eat a dick. They do the same shit but for some reason want to pretend they care now. Literally months ago they were trading stocks after private briefings about the virus and nothing happened. They won't make anyone face real consequences and the hedge funds and Wall Street pricks will laugh at us for thinking we had a chance.

I'm done with RH once I have some time to breath. I hope that app fucking dies. They should face criminal charges and a class action suit but they won't and nothing will happen because they have $. Google is already deleting reviews because they don't want people to know what actually happened. Its sad.

I filed a complaint with the SEC. I e-mailed RH and told them their software is shit and they are terrible people. I downloaded some other apps but don't know what else to do. Its so upsetting that normal people don't have a chance in this game. We play by the same rules but when we have a chance at a win the rules are changed to take the win away.

I picked a bad month to be sober. I want to get super high, drink some expensive scotch, watch TV and sleep but can't even do that right now. All I can do is browse /WSB and read more about how we all go fucked. I hate everything.

Is AMC a meme stock?

I bought 100 shares at $4 something on Monday and was planning on holding for a few years until the stock came back after they announced getting all that extra funding. What is going on today that its up so much? Might sell to rebuy when it corrects.

I have 15 shares of GME at around $90 that I'm obviously sweating a bit. I had 50 shares at $20 and sold in the $40s. Bought again in the low $40s and sold in the $60s and then dropped to only 15 shares at $90...I may sell again today to lock in some gains because once the squeeze happens its going to drop like crazy. The markup on puts is insane.

I also bought 15 shares of AMD at 88 and 2x 100 calls two weeks ago playing the earnings. Was happy to see good earnings but need the stock to take off now. Futures don't look good for the general market but hoping for the best for GME and AMD at least.

I get GME but something else is going on this morning. I don't remember this kind of movements pre-market for so many stocks. GME, BB, PLTR, MSFT, AMD -- a bunch of shit is wayyyyy up before market open.

I was going to buy another 2k of GME in the 60s this morning but...have to rethink the strategy now. Still may do it but hate the new price. I have been in at 20 and out at 30, in at 30 and out at 40, in at 40 and out at 60. The hype makes it sound like there is still value there but IDK. 100+/share seems nuts for this company even with the short squeeze happening. The highest price call you could buy for this week was $60. They are all wayyyyyy ITM. Its crazy.

Buying in cash is generally better because when you finance things you pay more due to interest and have extended liabilities. However, there are exceptions if you can get a better deal financing or can't afford to buy something outright.

I sold all of my GME at $65.

I don't know enough about what's going on so the goal was to not be too greedy.

Comparing this to the chart from the VW squeeze this was not the real squeeze (I know the past is not the future) and I'm hoping it gets back under $50 because I'll buy more.

The thing was flying until they halted trading. I have made some money on this both days it's gone crazy in the last few weeks and hope I can do it again. I'll take 40% in a day all the time even if I do miss a little.

I think there is going to be a little sell off at the end of the day too. Wish options weren't so overpriced.

People aren't playing it for the companies growth right now. The interest is in the short term because there is so much money on the short side and the expectation is that a squeeze will take place where the short sellers have to buy shares to cover their loses forcing the price up very fast. Then it becomes a cycle where they have to buy more to lose less on their shorts.

I ended up buying 40 shares at open and selling within a few minutes for a small loss because I got worried. I got too nervous that this wasn't the real thing. Going to stick to the plan of buying back in below $25.

Anyone playing the Gamestop game right now?

I bought 50 share at about $20.00 a few weeks ago and sold yesterday for 37. I was considering holding for more because I think the stock will go up higher at some point but I wanted to take profits before it went back down into the 20s where I would buy more. GME went down a bit later in the day as other people took profits and my plan was to rebuy it once it went below 25 again. But.....its up like 20% pre-market right now and seems to be looking to explode again today.

I'm thinking of buying calls at open because I'm a degenerate gambler by nature and don't want to miss if it pops again today but I was expecting this whole short squeeze thing to play out a little different. When you look at what VW did there was a small pop then it went back down for a while and then real pop happened a few weeks later. I want to be in for the real pop and didn't think it would happen right now.

I don't know anything special, I just browse WSB and make stock buys based on some things every once in a while. I was playing options last year but lost too much and have tried to stop doing that. I may make an exception today and buy calls though.

Are any of you in this at all?
