Obligatory "I like my local mom and pop pizza places better!" But they do tend to cost more in most cases so I usually alternate.

Papa John's miiiight be my favorite, but honestly I've had more good than bad experiences with most of those places (Pizza Hut has been better lately actually, but they were lousy for quite a while, at least locally here), I like them all and kind of rotate through them. May get Dominos the most often because there is one two blocks away and they are probably second cheapest to LC.

While they certainly didn't win the election for Biden single handedly or anything, they definitely gave the Never Trump republicans a place to feel like they weren't entirely crazy, and they may have very well helped tighten some close states.

That work is done, they say they want to continue on but just saying "hey we got rid of Trump" and dissolving is probably the better option if its such a mess behind the scenes. They managed to hide most of the turmoil until after the election, that's all that really matters.

I haven't watched this show so don't know their story... but I'd guess in MOST cases, someone didn't put in 150 lbs in a year, they probably put in 10-20 a year over 15 years or something. So I can see how it can creep up on a person... BUT yes that said eventually once you hit 250, 300, 400, 500 you'd think something is going to click, but apparently not.

Ultimate Spidey I don't remember being amazing but it was solid, always felt they rushed to get to the "Ultimate" version of other characters too much. I was long gone before Miles showed up.

I like them overall.

Sure, they have some pretty dumb practices like gutting a new game case and trying to sell it as new if its the last one, and they are crap to their employees about quotas etc (thats why I had a very short run there 15ish years ago, wasn't going to overly hassle customers).

But they'd have some good sales on new stuff and lots of B2G1 type sales on used stuff pretty frequently. A lot of the non-game stuff a lot of people complained about, but I've picked up some neat shirts and weird trinkets over the years. The hundreds of times I've been there I think I had an overly pushy sales rep ONCE. Maybe I'm lucky but I didn't get the constantly bad experiences most people talk about. Lots of trade-in specials, too. As long as you weren't trading in an 8 year old Madden game it was usually half decent (especially when they'd run bonus credit which they did often). And far as I know, no one was FORCED to trade in games there. If you don't like what they offer you can try to offload it somewhere else.

My political views are all over the place, but this never seemed like it would work well to me. Like, okay, Walmart and McDonald's probably CAN afford to pay more without significantly raising their cost of goods (although no reason to think they will want less profits, so they very well will increase prices), but the rando local restaurant or shop is probably barely getting by as it is (even pre-COVID) on razor thin profit margins. You know, those weird ice cream shacks that are only open in the warm months and employ 90% high school kids. I don't see how they can manage with massively raising prices and thus probably losing business.

Plus if the prices go up, okay, the guy who was making $9 an hour is now making $15 so he can feel okay about it, but the guy that's been making $15.50 the whole time and doesn't get any raise is going to get hit really hard.

I really do want people to make more money and be able to live with all their needs and some of their wants but I don't know, doesn't seem feasible to have a massive boost like that in four years without major repercussions.

If you really want to go chronological there is nothing wrong with that, but I found when I started out doing that, it got boring quick, so I started jumping around between the different timelines, etc. So I... kind of watched them in order, but split in 5 different catagories (I split Showa in two since the later ones have a much different feel and gave non-Godzilla it's own catagory), so I'd do one from each and rotate around, kept it feeling more fresh. But that's just me.

I would try to *at least* get the other Toho films that featured monsters that ended up with Godzilla, like the original Mothra and Rodan, and I suppose the 3 Mothra movies from the 90's.

Would be fun to also throw in Varan, Frankenstein Conquers the World, War of the Gargantuas, and if you want to go really deep throw in Gorath, Matango, the Mysterians, Dogora, Yog (although I think thats always called "Space Ameoba these days) etc

Obviously you only have so much time before the new film and there plenty of Godzilla films alone, but I suppose if you have infinite time you could throw in all the Gameras for good measure.

It's either this, or the "gap theory", which posits that there was a previous Earth that was destroyed between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2, where the dinosaurs lived.

Those are definitely two theories, but the vast, vast majority of Christians I've discussed it with either believe young earth creationism and dinosaurs just had a short run and scientiests are bad at dating things, or they don't get 7 day creation literally and basically believe God caused the big bang but then things happened as your science text book says.

But yeah not a consensus but a lot of people would say that the behemoth mentioned in Job 40 and Leviathan in 41 and a few other places were references to dinosaurs.
