The problem here between Democrats and Extreme Leftist, is that one side wants "equality", but the other demand "equity".

I'm all for equality, let them be doctors and politicians, accountants, or whatever.....open that door to opportunity and see what happens. Do it, I'm all for it.

But with equity, therein lies the problem, because in order to gain "their version of equality" is to take away from other people. This is wrong, and only adds fuel to the fire. It breeds entitlement. It breeds a protected class. And you're always going to get backlash in the form of those you make demands upon to adopt the politics of the extreme polar opposite just to create a 'balance'.

It's pretty obvious what "check to check" means.

Doesn't always mean being poor and destitute, which is a common use for the phrase being fair. But it can also apply to working class people who barely make enough to maintain their desired lifestyle. Or in fact anyone trying to maintain a certain lifestyle, but struggle to make the end's meet.

• On welfare, or working part-time on minimum wage, barely enough to pay your portion of rent in a multi (illegal) suited condo. And the rest goes to food you have to label in the fridge, or the 'family-of-4' living in the converted master bedroom will eat it on you.
• Working class husband, has to buy a two-story 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in the suburbs. For himself, wife, and 3 kids. Mortgage payments are 90% of his check, while bills take the last 10%. Wife works enough to buy Food. but not much for anything else...Mmmmaybe, planning a Disneyland road-trip on a shoe-string budget, travelling across 4 states (cheaper than flying), 5 years from now, on a shoe-string budget; staying at the cheap hotels across the street; just to give the kids some highlight in their life....that is, if the husband's work and the economy holds up.
• 1%'er on the verge of being downgraded to the 99% if their investments don't start showing any positive returns. Might have to cancel their bi-monthly trip to Cabo, or face losing their mansion.....yeah, not exactly a strong point, however the premise is those trying to struggle to maintain 'some' level of comfort and/or lifestyle.

In my personal experience, people are way too greedy, and confessing to minor damages often lead to the person making up a bigger story than what originally happened. A minor scratch happened, and suddenly there is a crack in the engine-block, and a leaky oil pan!? (yes, true story).

I mean, if I wound up ripping off the guy's front bumper and took out a headlight, at least I know I caused over $5000 in damages I'm willing to own up to. But for a minor paint job, that somehow requires a total overhaul? ...just leave it and run.

Personally, beyond a barebones description I heard on NPR, even I'm not entirely sure what Qanon is about (my understanding is that it claims there's some international pedophile ring among political and social elites (which, considering everything around Epstein, might not be a completely unwarranted suspicion) as well as a deep state preserving that status quo, but -- given that I mostly know about it from stuff like NPR -- it's probably an inaccurate picture)

All I've gathered is that QAnon is a small fraction of conservative white-trash, trailer-park, online mouth-breathing nobodies pushing "pizzagate" theories, but never physically actively protesting or doing anything about it, aside from waving painted signs with a big "Q" around during campaign rallies.

And really, what is their message? "Pedophiles" corrupting the government?....last I checked pedophiles are bad people....even if their claims are unfounded (yet plausible), why would anyone be against the notion if they could prove it to be true.

A Canadian Toque would be called a micro-transaction (MTX), not downloadable content (DLC).....

DLC is actual "physical" tangible content you play on (like a new level, new island on an open world game, raids and dungeons), while MTXs is just cosmetic items that bear no weight to the game you play (like a toque, or rainbow sparkly mounts).

Actually, I totally agree with your interpretation of the bill, only because you took it at face value, but never applied the broadview of the law itself....that's where you failed.

You forgot things like precedence, reasoning behind 'age of content laws', and the mere fact that California is a degenerate state to begin with.

Here's how it works.....Basically, you're right. The bill that was passed was meant to be more of an "equal opportunity" way to punish ALL PEDOS equally.....not just the "Jerry Lee Lewis" pedos, but the "Micheal Jackson" pedos too now.

However, precedence factors in as the latitude between the elder partner's age and the young partner's age is factored in the judge's decision. CALIFORNIA has the widest age gap for this latitude, spanning a 10 year difference while most other states is around 4-5 years. So precedence is set in the fact that you could get away with a 24 year old man boning a 14 year old girl, and not be placed on the sex offender registry in the end.

This bill just includes the LGBTQ to gain the same latitude, because if it was a 24 year old man grooming a 14 year old boy, before they would actually throw the book right at him, put him on the registry and be done with him. Senator Wiener (lol) advocated for the same punishment as straight-pedos get....that's all.

Now why is the LGBTQ factor in all this is such a controversial notion....? Well, because it's bad enough to confuse young teens about having sex in the first place (which is why we have age of consent laws in the first place), now they've exposed the danger of confusing a child's sexuality as well; grooming them! Now a 24 year old man can get a boy to swing for his team, so to speak (without the high probable 'danger' of being in the registry for the adult)..... It's one thing to be 14 and come into your sexuality on your own, but it's another to when you get 'help' from an adult.....

Then when you back up from all this, and ask "Why give pedos all that latitude in the first place?". Why create such a 10 year gap, when honestly law-makers should be working to closing that gap, so ALL PEDOS are punished the same? Why allow Gay-Pedos access to the 10 year gap, when they should've closed the gap to the Straight-Pedos so they'd be punished the same way as the Gay ones? Wouldn't that achieve the same result for the same "inclusive" punishment?.....
