Start off with what you want out of your life, do you want a big house? Go on yearly trips abroad? How much money do you need to get all of that? Do you need to aim for a higher paying job? Can you think of a high paying job that you would enjoy?

Have a think about what you really want out of life and honestly you may very well determine youre just not a career minded person and thats okay too, maybe you dont need a high paying job to get what you want out of life. So long as you can find joy in other things and be fulfilled you can just clock in and out every day, nothing wrong with that. Not everybody can be or has to be a high flyer at work. Just have to work on not feeling inferior about other peoples successes - which I know is hard but definitely doable.

Bit of a cliche but just do better yourself.

Generally speaking anything is possible, so start with what your own career goals are then work backwards from there. Theres no real magic to it, just figure out where you wanna be and make a realistic and time based plan to get yourself there.

Its almost irrelevant what your colleagues are doing unless youre both vying for the exact same position or something.

why/how would mods have access to personal details of users?

When you sign up you give them your email address. Im not talking about turning up to dudes house or blowing up his phone but something like a quick email to say hey havent seen you in a while.

A lot of websites do that actually, but its usually automated. Ive seen it on clothing websites and some consumer info websites - hey we havent seen you in a while how about a discount? But this time it would be, hey you havent logged in in a while, you ok?

You can usually sense when people feel threatened or anxious around you. Sometimes its simply because Im a man e.g if Im on an empty street at night and its me and one woman.

But yeah other times its because Im black, Im aware of how I can potentially come across - I think a lot of black people have that kind of awareness. So even if its broad daylight if Im on an empty street or in an empty park and someone walks my direction I tend to give them a wide berth or take my hands out of my pocket etc., remember doing this as recently as yesterday morning walking back from basketball in the park.

Yeah I'll just leave him be sadly. If he's holding a grudge for some reason he's the type of guy to not let it go, but we're two of his closest friends that he's known for nearly 15 years so I don't see why he'd freeze us out.

No point ruminating over this though, neither of us can get in touch with him and our mutual friends can't seem to get him to open up about the way he's acting towards us, when they bring it up he just dismisses it and kicks the can down the road.

If you move her out of a city state on a turn, you can move her back the same turn without needing to reestablish for 5 turns. So you can rinse and repeat the whole tech tree on the same turn.

I tried it yesterday and got three techs before I got bored and also didnt want to cheat my game. (She needs to spend 5 turns establishing the very first time round though obviously)

Seems strange that this hasnt been patched out. For those who dont know theres a new city state that lets you build a science yielding improvement and you get a tech the first time you build one.

Ok cool but check this if you lose suzerainty of that city state and then regain in on the same turn, you earn a tech again.

So the exploit is you move your governor into the city state, then move her out to lose suzerainty. Move her back in to gain suzerainty - rinse and repeat this step 60 odd times and youve researched the tech tree.

I made this topic back in March. My friends dad died in Jan last year and he went silent, me and my other friend gave him some space at the time before reaching out so as not to overwhelm him, which Im starting to think is what pissed him off but idk because he hasnt said anything. So maybe that was our mistake.

So anyway, we reached out in Jan and heard nothing back. Some missed phone calls and ignored texts every few weeks/months later and were in June/July halfway through the year and still nothing back.

So anyway me and this guy are two of his closest friends, and we have a group chat with 4 people in it and hes been silent. But were all also in a group chat with 20 or so other people and hes very active there, even laughed at a joke that I made then deleted the message for some reason.

Its strange, I know people grieve in different ways but hes singled out the two of us to freeze out inexplicably. Hes still going to birthday parties and dinners with our other friends and shit so idk lol.

The only thing I can think is cause we didnt reach out straight away at the time, but he didnt even tell us himself we only
happened to find out from a third by chance.

So yeah I really dont know what to do - the guy is just silent.
