But yeah E12 base lightbulbs are basically those dang christmas lights for menorahs and shit. I had a bulb in there strong enough to provide light for me, but it went out last week so all I have is some tiny candelabra bulb that lights the room maybe 10%

....this is kinda comical. I don't know how my room light went from regular size to E12, but it did, and now i'm like....

I don't know shit all about lighting(other than learning what E12 was the other day), but rather than get this fixed i'll just go to the store and see if I can find something resembling a "real" light bulb with an E12 screw base.

I wanna know shit. Some people are the opposite, but the failures of the world and its people have never really gotten me down, so eh

I personally don't think it would be weird but society can be weird sometimes so I felt like getting some perspective before I did anything. It seems like a good idea to at least wait until we've been working together more. It's only been two weeks.

I just like making new friends, especially ones who are down with weed and fake plastic instrument games.

We got this new girl at work. She likes a lot of the same things I do.

I am not attracted to her, so its nothing like that...but she seems like a cool person, and I'm always down for making new friends.

These are the kinda COINections you make with people sometimes and it's neat.

So I was talking about how I collect currency and a customer overheard me and was telling me his son collects coins(moreso like the kid got interested and the dad was along for the ride, perhaps), but I went on about how cool it is and this n that. Today the guy comes back with his kid, so I was showing him some things, such as an older 1985 $100 note I had in my wallet and a newer $100 in my wallet to show him the lack of security strip on the older one. The $100 was a star note too so I pointed it out and he already knew what they were.

So, when they left I said if he comes back i'll have a gift for him.

But...what? Something that will knock his socks off. I think a morgan dollar or american silver eagle is kinda too much, but i want this kid to realize I am serious and I have balls. I think maybe a combination of stuff.

I don't know....I'm thinking maybe a silver nickel, dime, quarter, half dollar and then a clad eisenhower dollar. That seems pretty fair. Those are all things he may not really have. But I am so tempted to just give him an american silver eagle and call it a day. The value of what I am giving up($26.36 for an ase today) doesn't even matter. The fact I can give him some life lessons in one go is worth whatever:

a) tell him to turn people at school onto coins, because it's cool
b) find somebody who has taken a genuine interest in coins and be generous to them on their journey.
c) an explanation into spot price/silver/investing.

I've never heard of anybody being allergic to tequila, especially since the distillation process takes out most anything that would make you allergic. Never mind the fact you'd hope their own father would know what they were allergic to.

What I think is the most likely scenario here is that they bought or somehow were gifted a bottle of Patron they did not want, so to try to get around our no returns due to covid rule they said they were allergic to it.

I dont feel this is any different. Adji's remark about contaminating air is valid. Smoke is damaging to your lungs, even second hand. We cant tell if somebody has covid because they could be asymptomatic therefore we need to make precautions such as this. anybodies oxygen could be "cigarette smoke" if you will.

A fart in public is a) hilarious as shit and not likely to potentially or actually harm somebody else. But I suspect on a tram if somebody did let one rip, maybe somebody would say something. farts, while hilarious, are also gross to a lot of people.

I dont pay attention to the accounts here so much but on other boards you see certain users shitpost or troll, get suspended, warned, whatever, only to come back immediately when its over.

I know any good troll has tons of alts to work with, but I feel like it would still make sense to issue a ban every now and again, because I don't see the point in suspending somebody time and time again? After a while it should be like a life sentence for the 36th time stealing a pack of gum?

But you can tell they aren't going to find too much, and definitely not enough to sway the election simply because with Trump ranting about voter fraud months and months ago, he primed his base to not accept the results of the election and to scream fraud at every turn. Anybody who believes Trump is just being played by him. He knew his election chances were slim, so he kept on talking about fraud and illegitimate elections months ago. Now that we're actually here, and he lost as expected, he is saying the same things, regardless of what actually happened. This was always the plan. If you don't win, go back to the voter fraud trope you've been using for most of 2020. Your base is already on board because you kept going on and on about it in the past and they trust everything you say.

It's very odd, but it is what it is. Do the recounts and investigations so we can see just how little fraud actually happened. Trump fans may not believe it even so, but oh well at that point. At least the Russia and Ukraine ideas got into the far reaches of gov't, in a mainly Republican controlled gov't. This voter fraud thing likely won't even be an issue or talked about when Joe Biden is sworn in.

You have small pockets of fraud for either side. Not enough to sway the election. Trump is having the meltdown he wished Hillary had last time. However do some recounts, prove there wasn't enough fraud to affect the election and be done with it.

Of course the guy ranting about election fraud during the campaign isn't going to let it go when he loses(and with a worse margin than Hillary lost as well). There was always going to be "election fraud" because of how he talked it up in the past.

What confuses me is how prices are all over the place. I see ones for like under $10 for 256GB, but its a brand I've never heard of. I have also never heard of this brand in OP, but it seems to have good reviews.

I've never gotten a girl before but in theory it doesn't sound super difficult if I put myself out there and tried. I'm a nice guy(not in the sense some people mean, I'm just a nice and friendly guy - not "nice" but calls women sluts when they wont fuck em), and i'm funny and I have a personality. The way I see it now is that since I don't actually go out and seek women(at bars, clubs, dating apps), the variables to make it work just haven't lined up with the people I naturally come across. Some day those variables will line up, though.

You could still buy beer or wine here or get it online from other places, and then eventually ours. But some people need 750ML or more of hard liquor a day. I understand some people are like that, so I get it. That equivalent is like a case of beer or more. I'd hope some people decided to get help during the time we were closed, but the reality of it, I would imagine almost nobody did. I like working in a liquor store because I like to talk about nice drinks, fancy whiskys, rums etc. But there is this other side of the business that is different in a weird way. But I recognize it is the reality of it. I wish society wasn't so depending on it(in an addiction and "i cant stand my family with out it" type of way) but that's reality.

I really just want people to be safe. I tell almost every person i wait on to "take care" because I do actually mean it. If I never see you again I generally consider that a good thing assuming things haven't gotten worse.
