Sorry TC, but your memory is playing tricks on you.

To start with, Carrie Fisher isn't listed even in an uncredited role on her IMDB page: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000402/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 As you'll notice, even if a person isn't listen in the film's credits, the film will still show up as an entry with the notation of uncredited. See her role in 1991's Hook and 1997's Austin Powers for example.

As you can see, nothing about Carrie Fisher.

The scene you described is not how it plays in the film. The placement is incorrect as well. Julie dies at the end of the second act in the hospital. Nancy runs into Dr. Heffner and some nurses, neither are which are Carrie Fisher.


Nancy only speaks to one nurse as seen in the above photo. No double takes or anything of the sort.

The immediate scene after Julie and her demise is of Nancy leaving the hospital parking lot to find Dylan. This takes her to the highway where she rescues him from an incoming semi-truck. The scene after it is back at Nancy's home for the start of the third act which leads to the dream world and the showdown with Freddy. Nancy does visit the morgue, but it's way earlier in the story at the 34 minute mark and it is to see the body of her dead husband. Here is the morgue staff. Notice they are all men.

Nancy never performs a double take when speaking to any of them. When shown the body of her deceased husband, she does ask to see more of it. As for the morgue attendant she talks to:

It's none other than W. Earl Brown who would go on to play Kenny the camera man in Scream. Strangely enough, Drew Barrymore was up for the role of Julie in this film but couldn't play the role due to scheduling issues. Anyhow, Brown / morgue attendant does a look of disbelief when meeting Nancy but it's likely because he recognizes her from the films as this is a running element throughout the story. However, he never asks about her.

I think your brain is jumbling up everything. The scene order, when it takes place, who is in the scene are all incorrect. If anything, I believe you're merging this movie with the the scene in Scream 3 as Gale does a double take when meeting Carrie Fisher's character who heads up the studio archives. They even make a joke about how much she looks like Carrie Fisher (because she really is).

Same, I beat Home Coming since I didn't beat Silent Hill 3 or 4 and felt like this was a good ending to the series for me.

I don't think I'll play another Silent Hill game unless Konomi remakes the original true to form like a Resident Evil Remake.

Yes and no. Freddie was after Nancy and anyone that was known to her character in real life. Carrie Fisher was just playing some no named mortician in the movie. A mere extra, which explains why the scene is so hard to find. She wasn't playing Lea, nor was any Star Wars references "referenced" but both characters "nodded" at each other when Nancy turned back (the double take) because she thought she recognized Fisher's character, but then she was gone.

The scene I'm referring to takes place after this scene when Nancy is in the mortician's office downstairs to confirm the body as her friend that died in the above scene. Can't find it on youtube, but if anyone else finds it, I'd appreciate the post for reference. It's such an oddball scene, I really wish it stuck out for other people too.

So some back story. In Wes Craven's "A New Nightmare" Carrie Fisher cameos as a mortician in which the lead character played by Heather Langenkamp (Nancy) does a double take when asking Fisher if she could see a body that's under a sheet. However, when Nancy does this double take, she asks if she knows Fisher, however fisher never shows up in any of the Freddy Krueger movies until this time, meaning this is ACTUALLY a STAR WARS reference. In any case, this scene was probably forgotten and unnoticed by many people. I find this scene relative though because at the time, this was the only movie she was in for a very long time. The cameo was there for a reason, I'd just like to know why. It's just so.....jarring. It doesn't belong, yet there it is. Freddy Krueger and Star Wars all but mentioned in the same sentence, and this was back in what? 1996?

I'll see if I can find the scene in question on youtube, in the mean time, discuss!
