1. Dropping out of my path to be an English/writing professor. I feel like I would've fared much better in education than I am in healthcare. I would've done better/gotten more recognition/felt more fulfilled.
2. Dropping all my friendships with my exes during my last relationship; she was a kind of emotionally immature virgin and was super jealous. One of those exes I had dated for 4 years and was basically my second best friend - and I quit talking to her without any warning.
3. Being a jealous and controlling guy in previous relationships. My last ex (mentioned in #2) helped me eventually get over being an emotionally abusive boyfriend -- but I never truly apologized to my exes before her.

That's the one exception - because they're in a position of authority and could easily abuse it in a court of law. It's also different if something is being shared publicly or being kept incase it's needed as evidence. Clearly most instances of digital vigilantism nowadays are being shared publicly with ulterior motives.

This is the most immature mindset ever, and literally everything that's fucked up with this country right now.

I know it's an old topic to discuss - but I kind of realized something. Most neckbeard, MCU fans that were mad at Scorsese's comments are generally the same people that justify their love of superhero movies because of an appreciation for cross-film world building, what they believe to be story-driven cinema, and the visual awe that experience from their high-budget productions. There's also no denying that these films attract high caliber actors/actresses - so they could attempt to make an argument for quality - at least if their idea of quality is a big production with lots of talented people behind its creation. Ironically - lots of these same people like to criticize horror films for being too simplistic, predictable, etc. in their eyes; they're clinging to the same outdated idea that films with lower production costs, or films of an exploitative nature are not deserving of the same merit. They're probably the same people who would scoff at stuff like Salo or Sweet Movie, and make a joke with the punchline, "art." They're clearly against subversion in most instances.
In comes Scorsese. He acknowledges that MCU films are simplistic, predictable, and exploitative - with the same smug attitude. He kind of fails to acknowledge that those MCU films had actual talent behind their creation -- just like a lot of low-budget horror films and arthouse films that are subversive in nature have artistic vision. Just because a film is predictable or exploitative doesn't mean that its cast and crew are lacking talent or there isn't creativity present - just like writing a well structured pop song still requires talent; also, just because a film has a smaller budget or goes against popular conventions doesn't mean IT isn't creative or structured.
I kind of see the whole situation as MCU fans hearing their class average on a test is a 75% and they got an 89%, tip their fedora, turn to Scorsese and ask what he got -- and he proceeds to say a 91% and tips his fedora even harder.
I also think this Youtube video is very relevant in regards to both groups, particularly Scorsese.
