Based off what we've been told, the rhythm game is just a sort of epilogue to KH3 that doesn't really deal with anything major. They really just wanted to make a rhythm game, and then later decided to slap a bit of plot into it so fans wouldn't label it pointless.

Whatever the next main game is will definitely start a new arc, though.

Still need to play through all the existing KH games lmao. Apparently everything gets wrapped up and the rhythm one starts a new arc of sorts. Once Im done KH Ill see how invested I am in the series as a whole. Im not great at rhythm games, though. Although Ive only tried like Harmoknight and maybe a bit of some others

I thought it would be a triple-disc game case with that amazing artwork and hold KH1.5+2.5, KH2.8, and KH3

instead its just a slip cover holding basic copies of Story So Far and KH3. Ive been bamboozled. My disappointment is immeasurable. Thanks Obama.

just to clarify, what I wanted to say was:
Jiren put up a better fight against a stronger opponent so he must be stronger than Broly. Broly got absolutely dumpstered by Gogeta, who is massively powerful, but can reasonably be assumed to be below UI Goku

fair. Even though he lost, Jiren is still the strongest participant coming out of the ToP. But UI Goku was stronger for as long as it lasted. Moro arc UI Goku seems to have much less trouble with the form so itd be a much cleaner win. Still, being top-tier 2+ arcs later is a hell of an accomplishment

Only after Jiren enraged Goku by trying to attack his friends. Until then, Jiren was actually keeping up with and dominating MUI Goku.

Goku was winning pretty handily. In fact, Jiren attacked the bleachers out of frustration that he wasnt able to contend with Goku, and that his ideals were losing out to Goku.

Palom and Porom's revival is just one of several plot holes that game has. Elder couldn't do it to begin with because they cast on themselves, but all of a sudden he can do it no problem?

exactly. I was expecting to find some crazy Lunar Golden Needle on the moon or something. The fact that it was just handwaved instead kind of removes the emotional weight. The issue still shouldve been resolved, but just tie it to some kind of quest for the player, not an NPC

Im glad Palom and Porom were revived but it being something that happens off-screen instead of being tied to some kind of quest is really stupid. Beat the Giant of Babil CPU and fought the 5 bosses in the Cave of Ordeals for the ultimate weapons of the non-final party members. All thats left to do is go back to the moon and take on the final dungeon Im pretty sure.

In terms of how much I like each party member, in a mix of gameplay+story+character:

Yang
Cecil
Porom
Rosa
Edge
Tellah
Edward
Kain
Cid
Fusoya

I honestly think this is my new favourite, I like it more than FFI, II, V, and VII, which are the ones Ive played. It definitely gave me a new appreciation for V, kind of want to replay it now lol.

Depends what you mean by future proof. It'll do great with current gen and cross gen stuff but next gen consoles overall have the edge in comparison. But I'm sure he'll still be able to at least play every game on it for many years yet and if he wants higher settings he probably can get away with just upgrading the GPU in 2-4 years and beat the new consoles. That's if he's even unhappy with how games look which if he sticks with 1080p and no ray tracing it'll likely hold up fine anyway.

damn for $1000 that aint bad. Especially considering theres more games out there than Ill ever finish in my lifetime

While we add some of that kind of humor, too, most of what we add is in the double entendre department. We also make the character development much more complex. good on them for bringing these games over in the first place but they butchered the localizations. If I didnt know any better Id think the SNES fan translation of Tales of Phantasia was done by them. And also, they made the games ridiculously harder than the JPN counterparts for no real reason other than making sure kids would have to rent the game for more than a week. I wouldnt buy a theme. I have a couple free ones from tie-in video games. I use the Ys Origins theme (comes with the game) but the free Subnautica and Tetris Effect ones are really nice as well.
