Not yet. I'm in my 5th and final year of this 5-year program (it combines undergrad and grad together so you get a Masters and Bachelor's at the same time), but this is how the recruiting process works for most of these accounting jobs. I do not know if it's like that in other industries always, but I assume it is.

Regardless, it's true, it does feel like yesterday that I just started college, doesn't it? Time really flies fast.

Yeah, I hear. The 50k is a great starting out salary, but they are going to make me work for it during busy season I'm sure. I'll be lucky if the work weeks are only 60 hours during then, but I hear they could be 80, maybe even 100 hour weeks.

But yeah, it's a rite of passage, right? You do it for the resume, and then you get the good job somewhere else. Of course, there's always the chance that I end up liking it so much that I stay and become a partner, right, lol.

Maybe one day you'll get to see the dream happen. I mean, there are times as an auditor where they have to screw a company or a CEO/other executive position big time, so it's not too far off.

I do not know. The details will be arriving later. Usually you do, but I don't ever want to assume with the current circumstances. Regardless, it's going to be a minimum 50k salary starting out, so that alone makes it worth it to me.

I went into that interview not seeing how I could get that job, it is a Big Four Accounting Firm position, and a very competitive job to go for. I tried to get so many positions as an intern last year and just did not get anything, so without that boosting my resume, I felt hopeless, and thought all my years in college were for nothing, but here we are.

I cannot believe it was just one-day later. It's been over a year since I received my first rejection for an internship, and I remember having a few days before that of feeling good about life before it came crashing down. When the rejections piled up, I lost all sense of self-worth, felt like I, as a person, was not good enough.

There's still problems in my life, but now I feel like I have a foot in the ground.

Done with the interview. It happens every time, but I always feel better about my interview with the Senior Managers than the Partners. Probably due to them being more open to just small talk rather than the nitty gritty as a whole (although not all have been like that, don't get me wrong). Of course, of the two, I would rather leave a more lasting impression on the Partner, but whatever.

As I said, had an answer for everything. Maybe there were times where I could have been more concise, or times where I could have strengthened an answer, but this was my first interview of this season. Who knows, maybe I'll be in for a good surprise. That sure would be nice.

I just feel like it is pointless. I should already have a job at my year, but failed to secure an internship when I probably interviewed with more places than anybody else. I know the only variable there is me, which just hurts. Now I might have to answer why I do not have an internship on my resume. This field (public accounting) does not actually require an internship, many are hired without previous experience, but it just feels like a steep hill I am already climbing.

As I said, this is my own "rubric" for the exam questions that I want to use to be as consistent and fair as possible. These are mathematical, so the answers are more objective rather than subjective-based essay questions. They were not given the questions beforehand, and this is just what I had to devise on my own to be fair with grading. The hard part is since these questions are multi-part questions with answers that build off previous parts, I have to decide how much partial credit to give. Additionally, if they got a part wrong, but due to a silly mistake, it would be silly of me to assume the student had no understanding of the material.

The classes I am a TA for basically are about grading. Even if I picked a class where I was the instructor, I would still get the privilege of grading.

There is no rubric for grading, these are individual work-out problems for a 4th-year accounting class. There is a layer of subjectivity to it when partial credit is introduced as I was given no definite rubric for each problem. I am just trying my best to be fair. If there is proof-of-work, then I can use that to assess why a student may have got a problem wrong and if they deserve some credit for that.

I have all stages from W1-5, and then I have 6-2, but of course 90% of my time is in 1-1.

I know it's because the pool is still new, this game is sick, but I can't wait until people have all 8 worlds and it's 32 kinda distinct levels with more than goombas and koopas getting sent towards you.

As I said, though, it is super fun, 33/115 right now, but with a lot of close matches. When the timer goes red, or when 10 people are targeting you, or when you have hammer bro and bowser galore in your face, the game gets wild. Unfortunately, I feel many people won't really get to experience that.

Well, look, you have to understand, Undertale really made me think all you needed to win a contest is a relatively new game with an excited fanbase. We all know Undertale doesn't win in 2017 in the best game contest but it came out at the perfect time. DDLC took the internet by storm, and it had a very excited fanbase, so I thought they would propel her to the top. I really like Monika, but she's not my favorite video-game character. I just thought her fanbase would kick in.

It's a game that uses tropes from weeb games, but is actually very unique. I would recommend it as a game to anyone to be honest. I'm not really a VN guy nor am I someone who would consider themselves an extreme fan of Japanese culture, but still found it to be one of the most interesting games I played. It really uses the "don't judge a book by its cover" saying to its full extent.

If you still do not know anything about DDLC, I highly urge you to play it as going in spoiler-free will make it an experience worth having. It's free as well and shouldn't need anything above a computer that works to play. I went in only knowing the game's most popular catchphrase, not really understanding what it meant, so I only knew to keep an eye out on one particular part of the game, but even then, it threw me for a loop.

I don't really like to vouch for games that much, but I'm willing to for this game. It reminded me just how little you need to leave a lasting impact on your audience.

Biden had some annoying non-answers, but Trump really made that debate stand out... in a bad way.

I suppose the strategy was to talk so much that Biden could not really say much, that or somehow make Biden lose his cool. Trump really went for any attack he could think of.
