That's what I keep saying.

I think Biden honestly needs to win Georgia to get the nomination. If he does not win Georgia, it will be 270-268. I guess those 270 electors will have more pressure than they ever had in their life. 5 were faithless towards Hillary in 2016, but they must have known that not voting for her meant absolutely nothing, so it was whatever.

Like, I don't think there is any counter to a faithless elector, is there? I guess you could challenge in the courts, but where do you think that will end up? The Supreme Court is going to clearly give the election away.

Georgia means everything right now I think.

I'm not talking about the election as it is, I already stated that in the OP. For now, we are targeting only Georgia. If Georgia were to, in theory, go Trump, I was wondering about the chance that faithless electors will be a factor in this election.

I am not saying PA can't go to Biden of course, still.

If Georgia goes Trump (which it probably will not), it will be 270-268 in favor of Biden, right?

but if just one elector goes rogue, that will prevent 270 votes. Do you think that will happen, or do people only go faithless as a political statement when it doesn't actually matter. Like, Hillary lost 5 and Trump lost 2, but at the time, it did not really matter.

At this point, Trump's only way of winning in what will be a close contest is if the electoral college has people defect from what their state declared.

I think Georgia is heavily expected to go to Biden as it's just urban populations left to count for.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but probably. There were many models before Covid hit that projected a Trump victory based on current factors at the time (which could have changed without Covid), and with how close this is, I definitely could see a trump victory.

Like honestly, if the result is 270-268, that is a little worrying for me (in favor of Biden). Of course, this is assuming all the Elector College votes that are supposed to be Trump actually vote Trump.

Like basically, without Florida, there really isn't a realistic map that paints Trump's victory, like none whatsoever.

I forgot to put up a poll yesterday, so here we go today. I don't really have much to say related to the tournament, but I started playing chess again, and sucking really badly at it. Chess is the one game that I am completely terrible at, that I wish I was somewhat decent at, but I don't think I ever will be smart and/or aware enough to ever get good. I blunder way too much. It's strange, the first game I played, the chess engine said I made on mistakes, all my moves were best/excellent/good, and I was at nearly 90% with accurate move choices, which I was fine with. After that, I have not come close to that, blundering like 3 times a match, with 10+ mistakes, and a missed win here and there, whatever.
